WEEK 2.

WEEK 2

Two people are gone from the group. Zagi and Kamui are dead, twenty-five of you are still alive, and the first week in the Vault comes to a close.

Saturday is given to regrouping and sleep; on Sunday morning, those klaxons are as annoying as ever but at the very least there aren't any bodies to be found. It can be assumed, perhaps, that you're safe for now. The night before wasn't necessarily a peaceful one, however; you'll probably feel a bit groggy when you wake up, and it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost...

However, those weird dreams aren't the only new thing around here; one of the previously closed-off section near the vending machine has opened up, revealing a spiral staircase leading up to the next floor. Go ahead and explore as much as you like; consider it your reward for a job well done.

SURVIVORS REMAINING: 25

SUNDAY | MONDAY | TUESDAY | WEDNESDAY | THURSDAY

[Please do. Tease the hell out of him.]

I probably would've pushed him over the first day if he was his other form. [Sigrun, the bully.] But... Yeah, I guess he is... kind of cute in that weird way. Even if he was in his other body.

[... At least, he acts cute? Sometimes? It's weird.]
cherryblooded: (smile / my my)

[personal profile] cherryblooded 2016-03-10 04:57 am (UTC)(link)
Weird, maybe. But still cute.

[Though probably he shouldn't tell this to Mettaton's face.]

I'm a bit biased, though. I have a weakness for people my daughter's age.
captainobnoxious: (12 matter o' fact kids)

[personal profile] captainobnoxious 2016-03-10 05:04 am (UTC)(link)
[Even if he did, Mettaton would be overjoyed at them talking about him...]

Can't say I blame you. I'm pretty fond of anyone who's as old as my uncle Trond, since he's a real blast to be around, but I dunno what translates as to being around sixty in your age. It's just old timers in general are some of my favorites to be around.

[also because they always have great stories to tell]
cherryblooded: (smile / pleasant)

[personal profile] cherryblooded 2016-03-10 05:06 am (UTC)(link)
That'd be much older than I am, but only because it takes a long time for us to reach old age. I'd be in my forties, maybe.

[...so you don't have to call him old timer, really.]
captainobnoxious: (19 yeah that's broken)

[personal profile] captainobnoxious 2016-03-10 05:12 am (UTC)(link)
[Oh........ They're practically peers.]

You're still an old timer to me. We're basically peers in age, but you're definitely ancient.

[sorry, cherryblod. ur Old]

So what do you think of everyone here? As a group or individually, I don't care, I just want to know your thoughts. As someone that's been around for so long and apparently has the patience to deal with the situation.
cherryblooded: (calm / wait what)

[personal profile] cherryblooded 2016-03-10 05:17 am (UTC)(link)
Well...

[That's a difficult question, and he has to reflect upon it for a second.]

I'd like to be optimistic about everyone's chances. As a group, I think we balance each other's flaws out well and can pull ourselves together long enough to come up with a way out of this, if we're just patient long enough.

But individually... it's easy to imagine us not being patient.
captainobnoxious: (03 can't be that hard)

[personal profile] captainobnoxious 2016-03-10 06:03 am (UTC)(link)
Especially with that offer a few days ago, huh.

[There's a couple people she knows would definitely be tempted by that. Black's one of them, with how fondly he talked of his sister and the talk they had in the storage room. Cherryblod's another now, though they're both on the bottom of her concern list.]

I can't say I'm really interested in it myself, but it's still a pretty powerful thing to think about for most people.
cherryblooded: (calm / wait what)

[personal profile] cherryblooded 2016-03-10 06:06 am (UTC)(link)
...It is.

[He can't help but be honest when it comes to that.]

It's not something I'm planning on acting on myself. If only because my daughter would never be able to survive the guilt. Don't really want to make her live that kind of life...

[Even if it means not living a life at all.]
captainobnoxious: (20 boy is that shit broken)

[personal profile] captainobnoxious 2016-03-10 06:43 am (UTC)(link)
[This is why he's on the bottom of her concern list. Black's on there because the kid can't stomach a dead body.]

And who knows if the world outside's even fit to live in, right? Could be a nice world, like he said, or it could be a world where only people who can withstand serious heat and living off insects can live. There's just no guarantee on that end since we... haven't asked for a picture...

[...]

I wonder if he'd give us one. I guess that's another question to ask.
cherryblooded: (calm / thoughtful)

[personal profile] cherryblooded 2016-03-10 01:09 pm (UTC)(link)
Did ask him if there was somewhere nearby my wife could live, if I were to murder somebody. He said something could 'probably be arranged'.

So at least we're probably not in a desert, but that's about all I feel sure about saying.
cherryblooded: (calm / frown)

[personal profile] cherryblooded 2016-03-10 10:17 pm (UTC)(link)
An area of land that gets almost no rain. They're usually very hot and sandy.
captainobnoxious: (17 listen here now)

[personal profile] captainobnoxious 2016-03-10 10:28 pm (UTC)(link)
Wow, it's the total opposite of my land. All we have is ice, snow, and cold.

[But maybe it's actually not so bad? Warmth is good. Very hot could be too. Sand's nice too, she knows that, but it's usually just by the ocean so imagining it everywhere the way snow is... weird.]
cherryblooded: (calm / say what)

[personal profile] cherryblooded 2016-03-11 02:11 pm (UTC)(link)
I'd rather visit your place. At least there you probably have plants and don't have to worry so much about conserving water.

[He's been to a desert. It wasn't fun.]
captainobnoxious: (18 what do you MEAN)

[personal profile] captainobnoxious 2016-03-11 09:32 pm (UTC)(link)
[Let the Norwegian have her fantasies, shrimpy.]

There's no plants? Seriously? I can't imagine that at all! Where do they hide out at? I'd say it's a perfect breeding ground for trolls, but they like their places humid and gross, not dry.
cherryblooded: (calm / say what)

[personal profile] cherryblooded 2016-03-12 01:01 pm (UTC)(link)
Practically no rain means practically no plants. It's hard living there even for humans.

[Obviously sea life like him would hate it.]
captainobnoxious: (06 don't talk much? too bad! i do!)

[personal profile] captainobnoxious 2016-03-12 03:31 pm (UTC)(link)
[Okay, officially:]

Deserts are dumb and you're as welcome as Mettaton to come visit me anytime you'd like after we get out of here. We'll go on seaventures together! It'll be fun! And I'll teach you two how to kill a troll with your bare hands!

-- Oh, wait you're probably not immune though, that might be a problem... But there's still plenty to do!
cherryblooded: (smile / polka dot)

[personal profile] cherryblooded 2016-03-12 03:36 pm (UTC)(link)
You're very gracious - I think I'll take you up on that.

[It'll be fun.]

What exactly are you immune to? I've been wondering.
captainobnoxious: (12 matter o' fact kids)

[personal profile] captainobnoxious 2016-03-12 04:12 pm (UTC)(link)
[So that's two people now she's gonna take home and convince her family to adopt. Perfect. The Eides remain strong in unity!]

The Illness. It ends with you turning into a monster that's my job to kill and is apparently really, really painful until you die. It affects humans and most animals, with cats being an exception, so they're our partners when we're dealing with the infection and trolls, buuut you can usually tell you have it if you're bitten by something infected or lick the arm of someone who's been in infected areas and start to develop a rash around your neck that slow eats away at your skin until you're nothing but bones.

[It's... pleasant.]

I'm sure you'll be fine since you're part shrimp and I've never seen a mutated shrimp before, and bombshell's a robot.
cherryblooded: (dark / unsure)

[personal profile] cherryblooded 2016-03-12 04:13 pm (UTC)(link)
I see. ...I'll try not to get bitten, just in case.

[Because wow, that does sound pleasant. Great times for all.]
