Week 3.

WEEK 3

Another week has passed; two more Survivors are gone. Pearl and Caren both had someone to fight for, someone worth killing for; perhaps it's for the best to hope that somehow they've found peace despite not being able to collect on the Kingmaker's incentive.

Saturday is given to regrouping and sleep; there aren't any bodies to be found on Sunday morning. That doesn't mean the night passed easily, though - it seems another piece of your personal puzzle may have fallen into place while you slept...

Following that spiral staircase up to the second floor will reveal something strange; those stairs definitely lead far higher than you remember, up to a previously inaccessible third floor. Go ahead and explore as much as you like; consider it your reward for a job well done.

SURVIVORS REMAINING: 23

SUNDAY | MONDAY | TUESDAY | WEDNESDAY | THURSDAY
[OOC: Welcome to week two of Trustfell! Save your threads for coins and the coming week's activity check; don't forget to check in to this week's activity check and submit your memory regains!

The text and calling posts are still active, for the sake of contacting the jerk who's keeping you here, to be used at your leisure!]

Certainly. The other storage room will be my first place to look for something metallic.

[Maybe there are smaller pipes lying around or something. You know, because that's safe...

And with Aqua's request, he flips to a new page in his notepad and begins to copy another set of information for her.]

Excellent, and many thanks! [...] I can see why you and Miss Caren were so intent on keeping order in the other storage room. It feels good to be productive...especially concerning something that could save us later on.
bloodisthicker: AND A SATOMOBILE (I'LL BUY YOU A POODLEPONY)

[personal profile] bloodisthicker 2016-03-21 11:05 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, I'd imagine that's pretty convenient, when you get down to it. Do try and be careful, though, since he's...

[...he gestures in the way that one usually does when they don't want to say A HORRIBLE NIGHTMARE OF AN INDIVIDUAL WHO MIGHT KILL YOU FOR SHITS AND GIGGLES.]

But are you in politics, though.
bloodisthicker: punched any equalists lately (so how you doin')

[personal profile] bloodisthicker 2016-03-21 11:25 pm (UTC)(link)
That makes sense to me. I mean, if we've already figured out how to send audio, it must be a lot simpler than video. But once you've mastered one thing, it's a lot easier to move on to other related things and make headway in those.

...oh, no, I know that too well. Honestly, the only reason I'm listening to that trashy kind of stuff instead of reading it is because I barely have time to sit down and read things these days.

...well, back home, anyway.
devastation: (yeah it's about that time I guess)

[personal profile] devastation 2016-03-21 11:31 pm (UTC)(link)
[At that, Megumi shakes her head.]

No, no, it's perfectly understandable to be upset when you have a bad dream.

[Heck, her own dreams here have been... pretty bad, let's just say.]

That doesn't make you weak, Norman-san, for feeling that way.
devastation: (not on that setting it won't)

[personal profile] devastation 2016-03-21 11:33 pm (UTC)(link)
["Hinamizawa Game Club"? How nice...]

I see... in that case, are there any games that you could teach me how to play? I must admit that it's been a long time since I've played any games, so I'm a little rusty when it comes to knowing any to play.
bloodisthicker: how do i seven year olds exactly (wow this is the most forced smile)

[personal profile] bloodisthicker 2016-03-21 11:40 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh, well, that's good. ...I can't say that for the monarchies where I'm from, but mostly it just depends.
cherryblooded: (sweat / uh oh)

[personal profile] cherryblooded 2016-03-21 11:41 pm (UTC)(link)
There are occasionally problems with succession... to put it lightly. But when you're as long-lived as we are, if you have a good ruler, they tend to stay around for a long time.
bloodisthicker: but i'm still not reopening your arena (that's rough buddy)

[personal profile] bloodisthicker 2016-03-21 11:42 pm (UTC)(link)
Hmmm... yes, it is just a game. I guess if you were using real money it'd be different, but... I don't know. It just sounds vaguely cutthroat for a fun family game.
bloodisthicker: how distasteful (legions of fans you say)

[personal profile] bloodisthicker 2016-03-21 11:53 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, I...

[..........."rest assured"]

...please tell me that wasn't intentional.

Well, I'll be sure to write you up a clear and transparent copy when I come up with them, then.
notjustawriter: (♙ they say the rain must fall)

[personal profile] notjustawriter 2016-03-22 12:05 am (UTC)(link)
Sounds like we've got a purpose for those things now.
notjustawriter: (♟ and the ground was dry)

[personal profile] notjustawriter 2016-03-22 12:06 am (UTC)(link)
...This place is kind of a shithole.

I'm not sure we'll get a reasonable explanation for why we were brought here.
notjustawriter: (♟ and the ground was dry)

[personal profile] notjustawriter 2016-03-22 12:12 am (UTC)(link)
It's not a common practice in my world, not that I know of. And I didn't do this research for my novel-- I witness this all firsthand.

[....]

It's kind of a long story.
notjustawriter: (♟ on a horse with no name)

[personal profile] notjustawriter 2016-03-22 12:13 am (UTC)(link)
I should probably start to do the same.

You never know, with these dreams, if we're rememberin' things out of order or not.
notjustawriter: (♟ my skin began to turn red)

[personal profile] notjustawriter 2016-03-22 12:20 am (UTC)(link)
I doubt it'll be easy. He's hidden away somewhere, somewhere that's not going to be easily found.

But I know he's here, watchin' all of us.
notjustawriter: (♟ but the air was full of sound)

[personal profile] notjustawriter 2016-03-22 12:23 am (UTC)(link)
I guess it is kind of a strange game.

I've never thought of it that way before.
bloodisthicker: yeah but what are we going to do with all that melon juice? (pinky are you thinking what i'm thinking)

[personal profile] bloodisthicker 2016-03-22 12:42 am (UTC)(link)
It almost sounds like some kind of bizarre social commentary wrapped in the guise of a game you let your kids play.
notjustawriter: (♟ after nine days i let the horse)

[personal profile] notjustawriter 2016-03-22 12:48 am (UTC)(link)
It does.

...I'm not sure if it's for or against capitalism, in that case.
psychoh: (I'll be there)

[personal profile] psychoh 2016-03-22 12:55 am (UTC)(link)
She's just, um... She's sick, in the mind. There's nothing I can do-- I watch her, but I, I can only be there so often...

... There's nothing I can do to stop her. [he says, like he's said it quite often before.]
bloodisthicker: yeah but what are we going to do with all that melon juice? (pinky are you thinking what i'm thinking)

[personal profile] bloodisthicker 2016-03-22 12:56 am (UTC)(link)
It could really go either way. I'm... probably going to assume for, since it doesn't really sound like there's anything to it that makes being a cutthroat land tycoon a bad thing.
notjustawriter: (♟ the heat was hot)

[personal profile] notjustawriter 2016-03-22 12:58 am (UTC)(link)
Not really, no. It's one of those "winner takes all" games.

....That is a pretty brutal lesson to teach kids.
sleepingkogoro: (suave)

[personal profile] sleepingkogoro 2016-03-22 01:02 am (UTC)(link)
...damn it, this is complicated.

Still, she can't keep doing that forever. At some point she will have to stop and everything should be fine. Don't give up yet, Norman-kun. Stay by her side.

[And for the next few days Mouri mulled how the hell to deal with Norman's situation because like hell he is going to stand aside and let that continue]
bloodisthicker: all gooey and undercooked in the middle (half-baked as shit)

[personal profile] bloodisthicker 2016-03-22 01:03 am (UTC)(link)
...I guess you've got to give them a heavy dose of reality early, don't you.
psychoh: (not to worry not to worry)

[personal profile] psychoh 2016-03-22 01:08 am (UTC)(link)
N-No, it's not...

[he pauses, staring down at the tea. he hasn't actually touched it yet.]

I'm weak, but for things back home. Things I let happen. Things I, I couldn't stop.
devastation: (a sea of troubles)

[personal profile] devastation 2016-03-22 01:15 am (UTC)(link)
[well fuck, Megumi definitely sympathizes with that feeling, given what's happened back home for her...]

... Like I said before, we don't have to talk about it if you don't want to, but... I'm willing to listen, if you think talking about it will help you feel better.
pokexplorer: (❖ sigh)

[personal profile] pokexplorer 2016-03-22 01:25 am (UTC)(link)
[It's at this point that Colress awkwardly picks at a few screws on the inside of the half-deconstructed radio.

TO SAY IT, OR NOT TO SAY IT......

Fuck it, Tarrlok you better have his back with this-]

I can confirm that the library has its fair share, at least. I picked one up out of desperation from boredom before I got these radios, and...

I was mildly horrified at how much trouble I had putting it down after I began paging through it.
