There's tension in the air come Friday morning; the time limit posed by the Kingmaker isn't quite up yet, but as the deadline draws closer, the more anxious several Survivors have been about it. The first floor seems largely fine today; at the very least, there are no signs of a scuffle or a body lying around. It might be good to make sure that the upper floors have fared so well. After all, Fridays haven't had the best track record around here. >Explore?

[THE DOCTOR HAS ARRIVED--unfortunately he only came in after the body was taken down, and he's kind of fifty shades of pissed but he's trying to ignore that for now in favor of focusing on the body.

First thing - signs of restraints. Are there any besides the obvious ones on her neck? Wrists, arms, ankles, etc?]

[There aren't any other restraints on her - she wasn't tied up for the hanging - but the noose itself is...odd.]

[...he'll let Lynne handle the noose as much as he wants to look at it. She can probably figure that stuff out better.

He'll move onto the rope marks on her neck now, since it seems like there aren't any other signs of her being restrained. How much chafing is there? Can he tell that she would have been struggling with the rope around her?]

[There are actually no signs of a fight with the rope - furthermore, there aren't any signs of bruising on her neck, despite the fact that you'd think there would be.

[Most definitely odd. One would think there'd be a struggle, but...

He'll keep that in mind; for now he'll try to examine the rest of her body as much as he's able to. Mouri is looking at clothes so he'll just look at... the rest of her where he can see her skin and general body. Are there any wounds or bruises that he would be able to see?]

[Actually, yes - there's some bruising on her head, though it's partially hidden by her hair.]

[Bruising? Alright, let's take a closer look.

Bruce shifts close enough so that he can use a hand and gently push her hair back for him to examine the bruising closer. Exactly how bad of a bruising are we talking about here? ...and is the bruising consistent with it being before or after death?]

[She took a pretty bad blow to the head, it looks like. Not enough that it looks like it actually killed her - her skull didn't crack and her skin's intact - but there was a good amount of force behind it.

Given the darkness of the bruising, though, it probably happened before she died.]

[A very bad blow... most likely enough to render her unconscious. Which would explain why there wasn't a struggle at all. Or at least, that's the initial thought for now.

They can put it together down in that room later.]

...I'm sorry. [He says quietly to Mion's now lifeless body. It's... well, he had only talked with her not too long ago, and now...

He withdraws from examining her head and continues to examine her body. Trying to check her hands now, this time - her wrists are clean, but what about her finger/nails/etc? Anything odd that he would find on them?]

[Her hands look pretty clean, actually! She doesn't seem bruised there, and there isn't anything like skin or noticeable fibers snagged under her nails.]

[Well then, more reason to suspect that she didn't have a chance to fight back when the final blow was dealt...? Perhaps.

And since Mouri and Lynne are now busy with the room itself, Bruce will actually examine the wound on her thigh. Exactly how big is the stab wound? And was the wound itself... well. Was it wiped clean (or licked clean in case of another surprise vampire...), or are there still traces of her having bled out to death?]

[The injury itself looks like it was cleaned up; furthermore, while the stab wound is a good size, it isn't messy at all - one hit, nothing jagged or torn-up.]

[A clean strike, and the wound itself was cleaned - certainly something to note.

Bruce is pretty sure he's managed to get everything that is needed, but he'll do one final sweep across Mion's body to be sure of that. Any final things to note?]

[Actually, yes - the device serving as her room key isn't anywhere on her body. Nothing to indicate that it's in her pockets or anything.]

[Ah... that's certainly something to take note of.

And since he's at it, he'll check the rest of her clothes too. Is there anything at all in her pockets, or are they all empty.]

[Nothing in her pockets, no! Looks like we're clear.]

[Awesome. Now time to sit in a corner and not angst too obviously.]
