There's tension in the air come Friday morning; the time limit posed by the Kingmaker isn't quite up yet, but as the deadline draws closer, the more anxious several Survivors have been about it. The first floor seems largely fine today; at the very least, there are no signs of a scuffle or a body lying around. It might be good to make sure that the upper floors have fared so well. After all, Fridays haven't had the best track record around here. >Explore?

[The detectives have been alerted and Lynne is on the scene. It's a gruesome sight but she decides it's best that she deals with the body while everyone else looks at the art room proper. So.

Before she touches Mion what's obvious about the hanging? Anything odd about placement? Anything knocked over? A struggle?]

[Well, Aqua did take her down, but if you got a look at her before that happened, the placement regarding the body was indeed odd.]

Let's say Lynne was there for that, what was weird? Detective eyes would probably notice it.]

[Primarily, the fact that it doesn't look like a drop hanging, despite the fact that the body was actively suspended off the ground. There isn't anything like a chair in the immediate vicinity that she could have stepped off of or kicked over, and while it's possible that she could have climbed the shelves, the placement of them would make that incredibly awkward and difficult for her to turn around and face the room, like she was found.

Basically, it wasn't suicide.]

[Considering the kingmakers announcement that makes sense. She'll take note of that and move on to the rope since it looks like Detective Mouri and Bruce are checking the body.

Is there anything of note that makes the rope uses suspicious? Like is the knot weird? Where was it hanged? Blood splatter???]

[The knots themselves are very well done - however, the noose is strange. Namely, the loop itself doesn't seem to have tightened very much.

So the knots are fine, but the noose was either used strangely or kind of...pretty, but functionally shit. It's a little hard to tell, but there you have it.]

[More evidence to point to the hanging being a cover up then. It's at least someone that never skipped boy's scouts. She'll take that rope for the trial later, thanks!

So about those shelves... anything of note other than messiness?]

[Not on the shelves themselves - back out in the art room proper, there are some things to check out, though.]

[It is more of a polite request than an order. The first thing Mouri, as investigator he is, will do is check the cause of death. Is there anything that could show she died from any other cause?]

[For clarification's sake - what are you looking at, exactly? Are you checking the rope itself, or are you looking over the rest of the body?]

[It's her jeans that have taken some damage - though surprisingly not much, given what's there.

Namely, there's a single stab wound on her thigh - no exit wound, just one hit.]

[It's entirely possible - given the placement of the stab wound, it likely cleanly went through the femoral artery.]

[THE DOCTOR HAS ARRIVED--unfortunately he only came in after the body was taken down, and he's kind of fifty shades of pissed but he's trying to ignore that for now in favor of focusing on the body.

First thing - signs of restraints. Are there any besides the obvious ones on her neck? Wrists, arms, ankles, etc?]

[There aren't any other restraints on her - she wasn't tied up for the hanging - but the noose itself is...odd.]

He'll move onto the rope marks on her neck now, since it seems like there aren't any other signs of her being restrained. How much chafing is there? Can he tell that she would have been struggling with the rope around her?]

[There are actually no signs of a fight with the rope - furthermore, there aren't any signs of bruising on her neck, despite the fact that you'd think there would be.

[Most definitely odd. One would think there'd be a struggle, but...

He'll keep that in mind; for now he'll try to examine the rest of her body as much as he's able to. Mouri is looking at clothes so he'll just look at... the rest of her where he can see her skin and general body. Are there any wounds or bruises that he would be able to see?]

[Actually, yes - there's some bruising on her head, though it's partially hidden by her hair.]

[Bruising? Alright, let's take a closer look.

Bruce shifts close enough so that he can use a hand and gently push her hair back for him to examine the bruising closer. Exactly how bad of a bruising are we talking about here? ...and is the bruising consistent with it being before or after death?]
