Thursday.

The day that'd been so longingly awaited since the meeting on Monday by both combatants.

The tables in the dining hall have been pushed to the walls for seating, everyone's had a paper shoved beneath their door alerting to them to the evening event, and anyone who had any business there suddenly does not. Seriously, those papers are like littered everywhere, unless you're not coming there's no way you didn't know there was something tonight.

On one side of the room is Sigrun with her weapon of choice: a pike she got from the vending machine a little bit ago, practicing her handling of it with a grace that remarks upon her life of combat experience, a quiet seriousness to her that's rarely seen. Her focus is on the opponent on the other side, twenty or so feet away, the clinking gears ever rolling.

Colress and Klinklang are also concentrated on what's about to go down, the man talking quietly to his Pokémon, all too ready to show the strength of the creature off to Sigrun. They'd been becoming reused to each other, Colress learning just what his frankly new friend (at least in evolution) could do, since that challenge put forth by the woman, and it's with confidence that the three now face each other, the air heavy with anticipation.

Let's fight.

Well, I'm sure everyone's excited to watch a spectator sport after literal weeks in here, so I made the perfect companion: popcorn!

[ BECAUSE HE... sort of is. Sigrun's cool, so is Colress's partner... ]

Oh hell yeah. I mean, it's kinda stupid, but it's the fun kinda stupid.

I've never really been a big fan of this sort of thing. [ not here and not back home! ] Miss Sigrun's really impressive, though. I wasn't doubt her military training, but it's something else to see it in action, you know?

Yeah, totally. I mean, the pokemon looks kinda like the shadows back home. But there's no way I'd wanna fight it without my Persona backing me up. But she didn't back down at all!

[penduli]

She doesn't know what fear is. [ IS THAT A GOOD THING... IS THAT A BAD THING...

who knows. ] I'm pretty sure it's not in any dictionary she has back home either.

It's kinda cool and terrifying at the same time.

I feel like it's something that's bound to get her killed here... well, if she's able to be killed. I'm starting to think she's invincible.

Somehow I can't see her getting killed. Killing, maybe.

She's been pretty unfazed by the incentives so far though. [ Hmmm. ] She's also really dedicated to being a good leader... I don't know if she'd go through with it.

Do you think she'd confess before we even had a trial? [ She seems like the type, right? Honorable and cool. ]

It's my favorite. Always made sure that White's never snipe my popcorn from me too, since I usually drizzled it all over. [ not... this time though, that seems excessive. ]

They're nicknames.

...well, more of codenames now, but they were originally nicknames.

Oh! Well, that makes sense, then. I suppose it could have just been a naming convention wherever you're from, but... nicknames/codenames are fine.

...I suspect the reason why they're codenames now is classified, then?
