Week 5.

WEEK 5

Three more have joined the deceased this past week. Taichi Yagami was punished for breaking a rule, Megumi Sakura was killed, and Norman Bates... well, the less said about Norman, the better.

A third of you are dead now; your losses are becoming more and more evident with each passing week.

Saturday is given to regrouping and sleep; there aren't any bodies to be found on Sunday morning. But that doesn't mean the night was uneventful - it seems something else may have brought you some newfound clarity. Or perhaps not...

Once again, that spiral staircase leads farther than you remember, clear up to a previously inaccessible fifth floor. Go ahead and explore as much as you like; you'll probably need the distraction after the last trial.

[OOC: Welcome to week five of Trustfell! Save your threads for coins and the coming week's activity check; don't forget to check in to this week's activity check and submit your memory regains!

The text and calling posts are still active, for the sake of contacting the jerk who's keeping you here, to be used at your leisure!]
bloodisthicker: because cool kids keyword song lyrics out of order (you're not the only guilty one.)

...it's been life changing news all the way down, Detective Mouri.

[he's just kind of... languishing here...]

Admittedly, I got it last Tuesday, but I just didn't believe it.

Everyone in this place has gotten their lives changed, some right after the first trial. I suppose it was only matter of time before yours came, even if you didn't believe it at first.

[Now that many days have passed Mouri is taking everything calmer than before, so that is good. Tarrlok was nice enough to spend some time with him, may as well return the favor]
bloodisthicker: no? well okay... (does this lighting flatter me)

[personal profile] bloodisthicker 2016-03-28 11:28 pm (UTC)(link)
...that's true, isn't it. I guess if there are big, gaping holes in your memory, you're going to remember things that aren't entirely pleasant, but...

Well, I guess my life would've changed even before I got here, more accurately.

[...how many things over the past couple weeks has he said that have been completely drenched in irony...?]

Hey, it is not all bad! Even if things look really bad right now remember your memories may not be up to date yet.

Maybe whatever is bothering you is already solved and you don't know it yet.

[That was...a bit too forcefully positive, but Mouri thinks Tarrlok would appreciate some steadfast positivity]
bloodisthicker: became hero of justice (there's only one road before us.)

[personal profile] bloodisthicker 2016-03-29 02:52 am (UTC)(link)
...I appreciate the idea, really, but I don't really think there's anything that's going to fix it unless I somehow manage to figure out time travel, which is... supremely doubtful.

[personal profile] sleepingkogoro 2016-03-29 03:06 am (UTC)(link)
If somebody had told me I'd be locked in a place with twenty-something people from different worlds and forced to see them kill each other I would have said it was 'supremely doubtful' for it to happen.

At this point I think nothing can be "supremely doubtful".

[Just pointing. Not that time travel is the solution to your problems, Tarrlok]
bloodisthicker: this is my likable face (here's lookin' at you kid)

[personal profile] bloodisthicker 2016-03-29 11:10 pm (UTC)(link)
[...that gets something vaguely resembling the half-beaten corpse of a smile out of him.]

Point taken, I suppose. Well, I guess there's nothing left to do but see if next week somehow gets even worse.

Oh, it will. Don't have any doubt of that.

[Mouri is getting weary of everything after one month. Tarrlok seems like the type of person that would like everything being told like it is, so may as well...]

But not everything is bad. Someday the deaths will have to stop, and until then...well, there's nothing to do other than keeping an eye on each other and gauge people's mood. Don't lose hope.
bloodisthicker: grade a gen urobuchi protagonist material right here (being tarrlok is suffering...)

[personal profile] bloodisthicker 2016-03-30 01:49 am (UTC)(link)
...you say that as if there's going to be more than two or three people around by that point.

...

I'm sorry. I should probably at least try to think a little more positively.

[personal profile] sleepingkogoro 2016-03-30 02:34 am (UTC)(link)
It is not so easy, but it's worth a try.

[Maybe Tarrlok would feel more positive if he thinks about something good]

Tell me about something you love about your home world.
bloodisthicker: this is my likable face (here's lookin' at you kid)

[personal profile] bloodisthicker 2016-04-01 12:07 am (UTC)(link)
...heh, that's a hard question. You should at least go a little easier on me here. "The vastness of it" just sounds noncommittal, doesn't it?
sleepingkogoro: (Default)

[personal profile] sleepingkogoro 2016-04-01 12:45 am (UTC)(link)
Kinda does. All worlds are vast, that is like saying water is wet.

[He really can't picture a tiny world]

Fine, let's narrow it down to your city, town, or wherever you live.
bloodisthicker: maybe you shouldn't have gone all facist tarrlok (way to turn out like dad tarrlok)

[personal profile] bloodisthicker 2016-04-02 12:15 am (UTC)(link)
...

...

...

[his life is ruined enough that he can go ahead and admit it.]

I... really liked feeding stray cats and cat owls that hung around my apartment.
sleepingkogoro: (think)

[personal profile] sleepingkogoro 2016-04-02 02:15 am (UTC)(link)
For a moment it seemed like you were going to reveal something embarrassing. There's no shame on liking animals.
bloodisthicker: you sure about that (well this is awkward)

[personal profile] bloodisthicker 2016-04-02 03:17 am (UTC)(link)
See, I always agonized about whether I should actually admit to something like that. On the one hand... it does make you seem a little more human and likable. On the other hand... I always had to wonder if it would make me out to be softhearted or something, when I was trying to project an image that was more forceful.
sleepingkogoro: (what was that)

[personal profile] sleepingkogoro 2016-04-02 03:20 am (UTC)(link)
Do you really need to seem forceful? I know you are a politician and an image is required, but is it truly necessary to have one?

[It isn't like there was this huge clusterfuck regarding powers Mouri wouldn't understand very well]

I personally would like more somebody that seems human than somebody who needs to look tough.
bloodisthicker: maybe you shouldn't have gone all facist tarrlok (way to turn out like dad tarrlok)

[personal profile] bloodisthicker 2016-04-10 02:25 am (UTC)(link)
I thought I did, at the very least... if I showed any sign of weakness, I was sure that I'd just ruin everything.

...of course, if I'd just been more human, things probably would've turned out better.
