WEEK 5 Three more have joined the deceased this past week. Taichi Yagami was punished for breaking a rule, Megumi Sakura was killed, and Norman Bates... well, the less said about Norman, the better. A third of you are dead now; your losses are becoming more and more evident with each passing week. Saturday is given to regrouping and sleep; there aren't any bodies to be found on Sunday morning. But that doesn't mean the night was uneventful - it seems something else may have brought you some newfound clarity. Or perhaps not... Once again, that spiral staircase leads farther than you remember, clear up to a previously inaccessible fifth floor. Never. Misa-Misa's the kind of person that lives for company...most of the time. If I get too lonely, it sort of gives me the heebie-jeebies, you know? You know?

[While Bruce is usually a guy who is pretty okay with silence, he can also understand where Misa is getting at - it'd be a lie if he said he didn't feel like that sometimes.]

I know. [A small smile.] Is there any place in particular you want to look at, first?

Misa-Misa was kind of interested in the arcade! We have huge ones back in Japan. Misa-Misa isn't that good at most of the video games at the arcade, but, it's pretty fun! And maybe there are some clues in there!

[amygdalae]

[The arcade, huh? Its... not exactly the first place Bruce would think of, but sure, why not.]

Then that's where we'll go. [He gestures in its general direction.] After you, Miss Misa.

And if we don't find anything, well, at least we can play a game together?

[amygdalae]

I wouldn't mind that. Although I'm pretty sure that you'll beat me.

I wouldn't be so sure! Misa-Misa's only really good at the dancing game, after all. Arcades are pretty fun, though! In Tokyo they have huge ones...

[amygdalae]

I haven't been to an arcade myself for a very long time.

[The last time was probably when he was still in high school or something.]

I'm going to be more than a little rusty.

What kind of stuff did you like to play while you were there? Ms. Pac-Man? That's the one everyone knows...

[amygdalae]

Pac-Man, and a few others. [Smiles.] There wasn't as many choices back then as there is now.

[happysweets]

Have you ever played Taiko? It's really easy! All you have to do is play a drum to the beat! It's really big nowadays in arcades...I think you would like it. And maybe banging on the drum would help let some stress off...

[amygdalae]

[What is this Taiko that you speak of--]

If there's one in here, I wouldn't mind giving it a shot. [Drum banging sounds... pretty good, actually.]
