Week 5.

WEEK 5 Three more have joined the deceased this past week. Taichi Yagami was punished for breaking a rule, Megumi Sakura was killed, and Norman Bates... well, the less said about Norman, the better. A third of you are dead now; your losses are becoming more and more evident with each passing week. Saturday is given to regrouping and sleep; there aren't any bodies to be found on Sunday morning. But that doesn't mean the night was uneventful - it seems something else may have brought you some newfound clarity. Or perhaps not... Once again, that spiral staircase leads farther than you remember, clear up to a previously inaccessible fifth floor. I wonder if it's what I thought this was originally-- more than one person in this group the Kingmaker is a part of.

I still don't believe he's workin' alone.

I mean-- he did have people around before. Around him. But he says that he's alone now, so... If he really is, then either this stuff is old news or he doesn't know it's in here either. Should I ask him about it?

Maybe he doesn't know about it.

I guess bein' clueless would mean it's likely he's working alone, though. It wouldn't hurt to ask.

Do we really wanna tell him everything we're finding?

Maybe there's a way to ask him without tellin' him about it?

I mean, ten to one he's watchin' all the meetings anyway, but it never hurts to hedge your bets.

We could always ask him if he likes puzzles.

Who's to say he doesn't already know? He might have cameras or something around--just because we can't see them doesn't mean they're not here. How else would he know when we've discovered a body and be able to make an announcement for it?

Oh, he's totally watchin'! But he can't keep an eye on everybody all the time. I doubt he knew most of this before maybe now.

'Course, even if he misses a meeting, he can always check out those write-ups.

...should I stop doing those, then?

It might be better to just make enough for everyone and then slide them under their door or something? I can help so you're not doing it on your own.

It'll take a bit more time, but I don't mind doing that.

...but I appreciate the extra help. It's best to get it out as soon as possible.

It's still good to not leave people alone with their thoughts. ]

Then I'll be sure to ask him about it next time I call him up! [Along with some stuff she learned here. Like that locket.] I guess I'll ask him a few things here and there too. I'll stick whatever I learn on a paper and leave it here for people to look over.
