WEEK 5 Three more have joined the deceased this past week. Taichi Yagami was punished for breaking a rule, Megumi Sakura was killed, and Norman Bates... well, the less said about Norman, the better. A third of you are dead now; your losses are becoming more and more evident with each passing week. Saturday is given to regrouping and sleep; there aren't any bodies to be found on Sunday morning. But that doesn't mean the night was uneventful - it seems something else may have brought you some newfound clarity. Or perhaps not... Once again, that spiral staircase leads farther than you remember, clear up to a previously inaccessible fifth floor. First off, we've caught every killer so far. You're way more likely to just die in the pit.

[Though Stan's been pretty quiet himself since that announcement, and his tone is rather less boisterous than normal.]

Besides, he ain't here to help us. He'd screw us over some way.

Oh, I'm well aware of that. I just feel like he's very much the sort of person to have a specifically engineered kick in the teeth on the off chance that someone does successfully go for it.

That kinda stuff always just makes things worse in movies. Like, maybe you think everyone'd be better off if you'd never been born, but maybe things would've gone even more to shit without ya.

I'm not entirely sure if that would even be possible, though...

...I mean, it probably is, but I'm having trouble imagining that they would.

...I really wish we knew the actual extent of his surveillance abilities for a variety of reasons, honestly.

Well, I know he doesn't watch us in the shower. [That was something he actually answered directly, and Stan doesn't feel like he'd lie about it if he were. The man has no shame.] And he can't watch everybody at once if he's just one guy up there. Even if he were recordin' everything, that's too much stuff to go through.

...oh, he doesn't? Well, now I feel silly about being overly cautious, then. Still... you are probably right, but I'm a bit concerned that he might not be the only one watching.
