Week 5.
Three more have joined the deceased this past week. Taichi Yagami was punished for breaking a rule, Megumi Sakura was killed, and Norman Bates... well, the less said about Norman, the better. A third of you are dead now; your losses are becoming more and more evident with each passing week. Saturday is given to regrouping and sleep; there aren't any bodies to be found on Sunday morning. But that doesn't mean the night was uneventful - it seems something else may have brought you some newfound clarity. Or perhaps not... Once again, that spiral staircase leads farther than you remember, clear up to a previously inaccessible fifth floor. Go ahead and explore as much as you like; you'll probably need the distraction after the last trial. SURVIVORS REMAINING: 17 |
SUNDAY | MONDAY | TUESDAY | WEDNESDAY | THURSDAY
[OOC: Welcome to week five of Trustfell! Save your threads for coins and the coming week's activity check; don't forget to check in to this week's activity check and submit your memory regains!
The text and calling posts are still active, for the sake of contacting the jerk who's keeping you here, to be used at your leisure!]

Ha! Knew you were a big nerd. [He sounds delighted with this.] So maybe they did somethin' else with it just to make it harder. Or the thing could just be too shitty to pick up weird languages.
...how do you think that works?

You mean, how the translation works? [Just to clarify... although he'll continue on anyway.] It obviously seems to be working on our own perceptions and intakes rather than the opposite, so my guess would be... something in the angular and supramarginal gyrus. Or perhaps the the frontal lobe.
[...please stop him from the sciencebabble, Stan.]

[NO NO HE GETS JUST ENOUGH FOR THAT TO BE UPSETTING]

[Considering 1) people had their powers taken away 2) reading comprehension is all in the head and 3) ...Bruce's personal experience regarding experimentation, its not a big surprise he can come to this conclusion.]
I could be entirely wrong, of course, but the only way for us to comprehend languages can only be through our minds, so...

[He shouldn't be surprised, really, but that is awful.]
Doesn't really look like anyone here got their heads sliced open.

It could have been done without the need for that, if the level of technology the Kingmaker possesses is of a higher level.
[...injected nanobots? Something?? Who knows.]

[And this is just... yeah.]

[It's hard to ignore that possibility.]
I definitely can't say that its a hard 'no'.

We'd - we probably oughta get that looked at if we ever get out.

[Because they!! Will!! One way or another!!]
...but yes, after that, I'll try my best to look into it.

For now, let's try to take note if there's anything unexplained about our bodies.
[There's no telling now what he might have done to their bodies now, if he messed if their heads.]
