Week 5.

WEEK 5 Three more have joined the deceased this past week. Taichi Yagami was punished for breaking a rule, Megumi Sakura was killed, and Norman Bates... well, the less said about Norman, the better. A third of you are dead now; your losses are becoming more and more evident with each passing week. Saturday is given to regrouping and sleep; there aren't any bodies to be found on Sunday morning. But that doesn't mean the night was uneventful - it seems something else may have brought you some newfound clarity. Or perhaps not... Once again, that spiral staircase leads farther than you remember, clear up to a previously inaccessible fifth floor. [Well now he's purposefully pointing the joystick in the direction he wants to head in. So he's... learning?]

This is the strangest thing I've seen yet. This Pac-man's just a bloody floating head!

[But hey, he's eating the pellets.]

[ignorantly]

[ He watches as a few of the ghosts begin to close in on Pacman... ]

Try to get one of the big pellets before they catch him.

Guuh, I'm trying... [But this is

actually kind of tense, actually. Huh.

He's moving Pac-man that way. He's almost to the big pellet.

and then a ghost decides to go that way too.]

[ignorantly]

The ghost's gonna catch him! [ ...rest in peaces little yellow guy ]

[isafraid]

Gah!

[Aaaaaand, yeah.

Bye, Pac-man. The familiar chime of a game over plays, and Speedwagon is generally stumped.]

There was no way around that! How was I supposed to get out of there?

[ignorantly]

If you're trapped by the ghosts, it's game over for ya. But if you aren't, and they're catching up, turn corners. They aren't very smart and often continue straight ahead.

[isafraid]

Everywhere I turn, more supernatural insanity!

[...He presses the start button. Here we go!

You've got him hooked now, Shriazu.]

It's just as well that they're not vampires...

[ignorantly]

[ He watches as the game starts again and the ghosts leave their home in the middle. ]

...Have you met vampires before? Aside from Kamui, I mean. [ He recalls Speedwagon telling him that monsters aren't real where he's from, back during the first week, but that was before they knew they had lost their memories. ]

[isafraid]

By now, I think it's apparent that I have. [Go, Pac-man, go. Speedwagon has to catch himself.]

I've started to recall things, I believe of that sort: There's this man back home... a monster, more like. Can't say I remember the specifics, but he's more powerful and terrifying then anything I've ever run into.

[...] His name's Dio Brando.

Sheesh... he sounds awful as hell. His name screams "douchebag" to the max, too.

[isafraid]

Right! I'd never met someone like that in my life... and I'm better off for it! You could just smell the fire and brimstone running off of him!
