Week 5.
Three more have joined the deceased this past week. Taichi Yagami was punished for breaking a rule, Megumi Sakura was killed, and Norman Bates... well, the less said about Norman, the better. A third of you are dead now; your losses are becoming more and more evident with each passing week. Saturday is given to regrouping and sleep; there aren't any bodies to be found on Sunday morning. But that doesn't mean the night was uneventful - it seems something else may have brought you some newfound clarity. Or perhaps not... Once again, that spiral staircase leads farther than you remember, clear up to a previously inaccessible fifth floor. Go ahead and explore as much as you like; you'll probably need the distraction after the last trial. SURVIVORS REMAINING: 17 |
SUNDAY | MONDAY | TUESDAY | WEDNESDAY | THURSDAY
[OOC: Welcome to week five of Trustfell! Save your threads for coins and the coming week's activity check; don't forget to check in to this week's activity check and submit your memory regains!
The text and calling posts are still active, for the sake of contacting the jerk who's keeping you here, to be used at your leisure!]

[Sigruuun is taking Mettaton's pencil from him though, laying down on his bed to do some sketches of her own on a new page. Bad sketches.]
Speaking of endearing things though, your creator looks like a total nerd. Have you always been so on top of the world or did her building you that box of a body do the trick?
no subject
Well... Personality-wise, not much has changed. I've always been like this; it's easier to express myself in the way that I want to now, so things are better. But what you see is what you get, sweetheart, I'm not all that complicated.
[...]
Detective Mouri has tried to work out what I am - or, well, what I was before all that. It's fun to watch him try, he's actually gotten pretty close.

[Does she get a free pass.]

How sweet of you, my treasure. [Look at that Direct Translation up in there.] Let's see. Your soul's basically your battery, and you can't talk when it's not in you, but is it like that for just you or all monsters?
no subject
Just me! We're not like humans; monster souls don't really persist outside of their bodies, as a rule.
no subject
You're soooooooo weird. You're a monster whose soul was basically taken from whatever body you had before and put into a metal casing. That doctor of yours is amazing.
Were you a fish? A mushroom? A bee? [She's naming off things that would live in wet caverns or like flowers.] Really cute?
no subject
[Because that's important, apparently.]
This is about as far as Mouri got.

[Let's see... None of those things, plants aren't-- most plants aren't sentient, which is a Thing she's going to ask him about... What could he be.
Sigrun's almost a little sheepish when she speaks up again. Because there's no way the legends can match up.]
... I used to think that the dead people in the executions were draugrs. They're kind of like... How do I put it. They're people whose wills were strong enough that they dragged themselves back to their bodies after they died. I definitely could see Zagi coming back from death, after all, though to do someone's bidding is not something I liked.
Your soul thing kind of reminds me of that. Except you just dragged yourself into a different body. I guess.

Humans where you're from have heard of things like that...? I'm actually not surprised. That's something they can do where I'm from, too. At least, if Alphys' research is true.
They call it determination. It's what makes human souls stick around after a human dies, and if it's strong enough...who knows. It's supposed to be able to bring people back to life. Alphys...did experiments with it once.
Monsters aren't usually strong enough for it. Physically. It doesn't go well if we try it.
You're actually close. I've never died, though.
no subject
I didn't think it'd be so close, honestly, it's just an old legend of my people. Some of the more humanoid trolls are called that now. I've heard they can still speak, but I haven't waited long enough to find out.
[She'll turn around her sketch to show him what she'd been drawing, which is honestly offensive in terms of quality. It's of him though. Probably.]
Wow. I don't know what you used to be, then.
no subject
Actually, that's sort of adorable? ...Look, you tried.
That said, he shrugs a little. He's still smiling a bit, but he averts his gaze a bit.]
My cousins and I... We all used to be incorporeal. We could move through walls, and we couldn't be hurt by much of anything. Maybe magic, if it was strong enough.
We could also take over inanimate objects. Use them as bodies, you know? If we liked them well enough our souls would fuse with them and that would be us from then on. I never really found anything that I liked that much, though - until I met Alphys, anyway.
[He laughs a bit, quietly.]
I think it's sort of funny - humans tend to think that ghosts are dead people, when that actually isn't the case at all where I'm from.
no subject
Er. Someone who was a ghost. That turned into a robot. But isn't dead? Oh, gods.]
Where I'm from, only Mages can see ghosts. Or sense them. Something like that. They're basically things that don't matter to me since I can't interact with them and they don't bother me too much. You're now the exception.
[.......... She's turning the book back around to sketch out a little ghosty-blob with Mettaton's hair, which she'll show him. Even with his averted gaze. She'll sit up if she has to!!]
Like that? Or did you have legs? Because I can draw things like this, but I am not bothering with anything else.
no subject
...That's close enough, actually.
no subject
[Like, she'll do it in her spare time anyway, but if she can do it right now then that'd be even better.]
no subject
[By which he means yes, go ahead.]
no subject
Only a bit, huh? You sure know how to win your way into a woman's heart.
... I'm glad you found a way to be you, by the way. Figure it's a lot like how I felt when I visited Iceland.
no subject
Do you think so, darling?
no subject
Uh huh. Well, maybe not exactly like it, but... I felt pretty out of place. Wasn't my scene, not my people, and as used to crowds as I am...
I felt pretty lonely there. Didn't feel right until I got back to Dalsnes.
[... She's gonna try and draw a little ghost blob of herself too. Just to distract. It's still weird talking freely about her, well, less than amazing adventures, but she's comfortable with Mettaton.]
no subject
[It's really weird. He's not entirely sure how comfortable he is with it on his end, but you know what, this is more than he's told anyone else here.
More than most people know about him, actually. Here or otherwise.]
All of that's not something I really tell people, though. So if that wasn't discussed otherwise, that'd be great.
no subject
[... And she likes knowing things about him no one else does. It makes her feel nice.]
