Week 5.

WEEK 5

Three more have joined the deceased this past week. Taichi Yagami was punished for breaking a rule, Megumi Sakura was killed, and Norman Bates... well, the less said about Norman, the better.

A third of you are dead now; your losses are becoming more and more evident with each passing week.

Saturday is given to regrouping and sleep; there aren't any bodies to be found on Sunday morning. But that doesn't mean the night was uneventful - it seems something else may have brought you some newfound clarity. Or perhaps not...

Once again, that spiral staircase leads farther than you remember, clear up to a previously inaccessible fifth floor. Go ahead and explore as much as you like; you'll probably need the distraction after the last trial.

I do know some dodging techniques, if that helps.

Dodging...

[Sure, why not? Maybe not everyone will be good for physical fights. Maybe some will be better with dodging techniques]

That could help. I don't think it fits my specialties, but there may be some that would be interested on what you have to offer.
prismbloom: (to our surprise)

[personal profile] prismbloom 2016-03-31 03:35 am (UTC)(link)
I'll be more than happy to assist you, then, whenever you're ready.

[personal profile] sleepingkogoro 2016-03-31 04:14 am (UTC)(link)
I plan to do it on Thursday morning, when everyone feels prepared for it all. I expect many people to come.

[Hopefully. He better start making those posters or else nobody will know it's going to happen]

How did you get good at dodging, anyway? By sparring with friends?

[Somebody doesn't know much about Aqua's life yet, it seems]
prismbloom: (heart.)

[personal profile] prismbloom 2016-03-31 04:28 am (UTC)(link)
Excellent. Morning is the best time for this sort of lesson.

[ Huh, they really haven't talked about that! ]

Yes, my friends and I all trained together.
sleepingkogoro: (Default)

[personal profile] sleepingkogoro 2016-03-31 04:39 am (UTC)(link)
Did you train for anything special or was it the usual roughhousing anyone likes to do?
prismbloom: (spellbinder)

[personal profile] prismbloom 2016-03-31 08:21 pm (UTC)(link)
We trained to achieve the highest rank a Keyblade wielder can have.
sleepingkogoro: (i have no idea)

[personal profile] sleepingkogoro 2016-03-31 08:25 pm (UTC)(link)
Keybl-oh! That's right, your profile said you were a Keyblade something. That makes sense!

...

[Three seconds later...]

No wait, that doesn't make any sense! Keys are tiny, how can they be blades?
prismbloom: (tears of the light)

[personal profile] prismbloom 2016-03-31 08:28 pm (UTC)(link)
They are much bigger than regular keys--some are shorter than the average sword, but some are quite large.
sleepingkogoro: (Default)

[personal profile] sleepingkogoro 2016-03-31 09:05 pm (UTC)(link)
[Apparently everyone in Aqua's world fights with keys, that is what Mouri thinks. The mental images are fun]

So you use those to fight and achieve the highest rank. Is there a tournament or something?

[And can he go watch people fight with keys because he's still stuck with the mental images]
prismbloom: (to our surprise)

[personal profile] prismbloom 2016-03-31 09:13 pm (UTC)(link)
[ mouri no ]

No, not exactly. Not everyone can wield a Keyblade, and when wielders take their exam, there's not necessarily just one named Master. It's less a show of strength and more a test of one's heart.
sleepingkogoro: (this cant be right)

[personal profile] sleepingkogoro 2016-03-31 10:07 pm (UTC)(link)
A test of one's heart...?

So what, if I find a Keyblade around I won't be able to wield it?

[He sounds...actually disappointed]
prismbloom: (wishing lamp)

[personal profile] prismbloom 2016-03-31 10:12 pm (UTC)(link)
[ !!! ]

Masters do have the ability to pass on the power, if they sense potential within someone. It's somewhat rare, but it does happen.

And usually, Keyblades aren't just laying around--they come from within the wielder's heart.

[personal profile] sleepingkogoro 2016-03-31 10:41 pm (UTC)(link)
[From the wielder's heart. Huh]

Suddenly your life doesn't seem as simple as I thought it was. This whole Keyblade thing reminds me about many magical girl shows I have heard about back at home.
prismbloom: (join.)

[personal profile] prismbloom 2016-04-01 12:22 am (UTC)(link)
It's not exactly uncomplicated, no.

Magical girl shows? I'm not sure I've heard of anything like that.
sleepingkogoro: (no way im wrong)

[personal profile] sleepingkogoro 2016-04-01 12:47 am (UTC)(link)
Really? You don't know what that is?

Girls, magic, fighting monsters, "I'll punish you in the name of the moon", all that?

[What, you don't have TV, Aqua?]
prismbloom: (abyssal tide)

[personal profile] prismbloom 2016-04-01 12:52 am (UTC)(link)
I'm familiar with three out of four, but... "I'll punish you in the name of the moon"?

[ she comes from ye olde times or something, who knows when birth by sleep actually takes place ]
sleepingkogoro: (think)

[personal profile] sleepingkogoro 2016-04-01 01:59 am (UTC)(link)
It's a catchphrase from a particularly popular show. I think my daughter used to watch it long ago.

If I remember right usually that was what the girl said when she was about to do a particularly strong attack onto the bad guys, I don't really know.

[It isn't like he watched it, after all]
prismbloom: (hidden dragon)

[personal profile] prismbloom 2016-04-01 02:56 am (UTC)(link)
[ Now she's even more interested. ]

I can see why she'd want to watch it, if there are female warriors involved.
sleepingkogoro: (Default)

[personal profile] sleepingkogoro 2016-04-01 03:01 am (UTC)(link)
It is a very popular genre back at home. I think practically everyone has watched them at some point.

Even some adults like to watch those, but I can't say I know any personally.
prismbloom: (to our surprise)

[personal profile] prismbloom 2016-04-01 03:03 am (UTC)(link)
I'm a bit surprised you've never sat down with your daughter and watched with her, actually.
sleepingkogoro: (Default)

[personal profile] sleepingkogoro 2016-04-01 03:29 am (UTC)(link)
I think I did a few times. When I started my career as a private detective I exactly have heaps of work, so I had...a lot of free time, so to say. At some point I must have sat with her to watch. I don't really remember the details of what happened so long ago.

I do know Ran liked them, though.

I don't think she has watched them ever since she grew up.

[Children growing, it is...complicated for a parent]
