WEEK 5 Three more have joined the deceased this past week. Taichi Yagami was punished for breaking a rule, Megumi Sakura was killed, and Norman Bates... well, the less said about Norman, the better. A third of you are dead now; your losses are becoming more and more evident with each passing week. Saturday is given to regrouping and sleep; there aren't any bodies to be found on Sunday morning. But that doesn't mean the night was uneventful - it seems something else may have brought you some newfound clarity. Or perhaps not... Once again, that spiral staircase leads farther than you remember, clear up to a previously inaccessible fifth floor. I don't bloody know any of these people! There not like any folks I've come across in my memory.

And the date... it's a year off from what I know of.

Huh. [Stan leans forward to look at it again.] Yeah, somethin' like that happened to me too. I know everyone in the picture, I just don't remember takin' it.

Was that picture in the machine too?

Yeah, Cherry got it out. Kinda irritatin' how no one ever seems to get their own stuff, huh?

I'll say! And if it was ours, and we couldn't remember it, then how would we know!

But, fair is fair, I'm glad to have a piece of home. Even if I can't recognize a single part of it.

Maybe it'll come back to ya. I haven't caught up to mine yet, but there's a lotta other stuff I apparently forgot.

Anything particularly nagging at ya? [Because he knows how that feels, Stan. So much.]

Nah, at least I recognize who's in mine. You sure you don't know them?

To be honest, I'm unsure if I'm important enough to know people like this. Then again... [He frowns.] It's about a year off for me.

Maybe you're gonna come up in the world! It could happen!

[It almost pains him, but he gives a brief chuckle at that.]

Wouldn't that be the day? "Speedwagon" turning into a household name.

It's a good name for that!

Miss Lynne did say I should get into race cars, or something like that.

[He's still not entirely sure what a car is.]

Yeah! Can you imagine that branding? You could even buy a racetrack someday!

If I had the money to do that! I'd probably need some amazing luck for that to happen!

Yeeeeah, I've been there too. You just gotta keep goin' at it. You never know when somethin' might come along!
