Take Responsibility.

And once the allotted time for investigating comes to a close, those elevator doors slide open at the end of the first-floor corridor, offering another of those fast, smooth rides down to that black void of a courtroom

Twelve out of the original twenty-seven are dead; there are four less of you present for this trial than there were last week.

That's incredibly obvious as soon as the doors slide open and the podium circle comes into view where it's encircling that dark pit in the center of the room; Norman, the King, Tarrlok, and Lynne have joined the deceased, photographs in greyscale watching the proceedings from their podiums draped in black.

Of course and as always, the Kingmaker is watching too; he waits until everyone is settled at their podiums to begin speaking, though it's still impossible to tell exactly where his voice is coming from.

"Assured and Perceiving have been taken from you. You guys are really getting excited, aren't you? Two people dead in one night... Whether the guilty party succeeds or not, though, is up to the rest of you."

Fifteen Survivors remain. However many will be down by the end of the day is up to you.
amygdalae: Loki plans to go to New York (just so you know)

As you mentioned earlier, there is a high possibility that his body had indeed been moved after the deed was done. He could have easily fallen from elsewhere and then brought to where we all discovered him.

But where else could he have fallen from, do you think?
amygdalae: you, sir, are an asshole (yes I do not agree with this)

[personal profile] amygdalae 2016-04-02 04:27 pm (UTC)(link)
The stairs would naturally be the easiest way; just push him off and let gravity do the rest of the work.

[But even then, would it be that easy...?]

[personal profile] happysweets 2016-04-02 04:29 pm (UTC)(link)
So why wouldn't the culprit just push him down to the bottom floor and leave the body be?
goodforsomething: (⛵ let's think about this)

[personal profile] goodforsomething 2016-04-02 04:30 pm (UTC)(link)
Maybe they were makin' sure he was dead and moved him around a little?
goodforsomething: (⛵ give this man an oscar)

[personal profile] goodforsomething 2016-04-02 04:23 pm (UTC)(link)
There's not a lotta people here who could even lug the guy very far. He was pretty huge.

[No one has any business being 6'3'', honestly]
Edited (lol i forgot how tall tarrlok was) 2016-04-02 16:24 (UTC)
amygdalae: its going to drop eventually (waiting for that other shoe)

[personal profile] amygdalae 2016-04-02 04:28 pm (UTC)(link)
Even being able to push him would have still required some amount of strength, I think.

[He was tall and built. That's like double quarterback or something.]
goodforsomething: (⛵ quickly an excuse)

[personal profile] goodforsomething 2016-04-02 04:29 pm (UTC)(link)
Even if you snuck up behind the guy, I can't see him goin' down that easy.

[Although...Tarrlok was sort of having a hell of a week.] Unless he was drinkin' or something.
amygdalae: (hold up for a moment there)

[personal profile] amygdalae 2016-04-02 04:36 pm (UTC)(link)
As far as I could tell, there weren't any signs of alcohol on him--but it has been a past a night. If he did drink, we probably can't tell without the necessary equipment.

[Equipment that they obviously don't have.]
goodforsomething: (⛵ pinchy face)

[personal profile] goodforsomething 2016-04-02 04:40 pm (UTC)(link)
He just wasn't...really havin' a good week.
amygdalae: (going back to days gone by.)

[personal profile] amygdalae 2016-04-02 04:42 pm (UTC)(link)
...no, he wasn't.

[Even Bruce could see that.

What a way for him to end, huh.]
garudynamic: (Huh?)

[personal profile] garudynamic 2016-04-02 04:26 pm (UTC)(link)
...well the dojo mats were moved around, right? Could someone have snapped his neck on the hard floor?

[It's exactly why him and Mouri hadn't done the demo until they had the equipment for it, after all]
amygdalae: remember that you are human (Default)

[personal profile] amygdalae 2016-04-02 04:29 pm (UTC)(link)
Maybe... but again, that would most likely mean that somebody actually had had strength to throw him in the first place.
garudynamic: (...)

[personal profile] garudynamic 2016-04-02 04:40 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah, that's very few of us. Or someone with the training to use someone's weight.

[Like Mouri-san just taught him. Not that he could see Mouri doing this, of course]

[personal profile] happysweets 2016-04-02 04:30 pm (UTC)(link)
But then they would have had to lug him all the way to the bottom floor from the fifth....
garudynamic: (Worried)

[personal profile] garudynamic 2016-04-02 04:41 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah, most of us couldn't do that on our own. But it's not impossible. He was dead for awhile after all. They'd have time to lug him.
happysweets: (pic#9226736)

[personal profile] happysweets 2016-04-02 04:42 pm (UTC)(link)
They'd have to be pretty dedicated, huh...
garudynamic: (Oh well)

[personal profile] garudynamic 2016-04-02 04:45 pm (UTC)(link)
Heh, yeah. Not the most effective way to do it, but if it was on the fly or something they might not have had a choice.
