And once the allotted time for investigating comes to a close, those elevator doors slide open at the end of the first-floor corridor, offering another of those fast, smooth rides down to that black void of a courtroom Twelve out of the original twenty-seven are dead; there are four less of you present for this trial than there were last week. That's incredibly obvious as soon as the doors slide open and the podium circle comes into view where it's encircling that dark pit in the center of the room; Norman, the King, Tarrlok, and Lynne have joined the deceased, photographs in greyscale watching the proceedings from their podiums draped in black. Of course and as always, the Kingmaker is watching too; he waits until everyone is settled at their podiums to begin speaking, though it's still impossible to tell exactly where his voice is coming from. "Assured and Perceiving have been taken from you. You guys are really getting excited, aren't you? Two people dead in one night... Whether the guilty party succeeds or not, though, is up to the rest of you." Fifteen Survivors remain. However many will be down by the end of the day is up to you.

Not if they attacked her and she made a run for it. We don't really know where she died yet after all, and if she yelled none of us could hear her anyways.

Right, we don't. We just know there was water, and she was burned by that bleach.

...Are we even sure why the bleach was there?

All I can think is that the bleach was used to destroy something on her body. I couldn't find anything though.

And it wasn't ingested...

Maybe it was meant to blind her.

That's what I was thinking. Like, maybe the killer splashed it on her so she couldn't fight back?

Did it look like the bleach got in her eyes? Or was it just, like, all over?

Oh, I get it! Okay, okay, with that, then, here's Misa-Misa's theory. So the killer pushed Tarrlok down the stairs. Then Lynne, on the first floor, found the body and started to investigate. And the killer's hiding upstairs! So Lynne sees the killer in the middle of her investigation, and there's a chase all the way up to the dojo! And that's where stuff happened! Does that seem believable?

Maybe. Like a struggle? But Lynne didn't have a scratch on her- she wasn't super big, but a cop would know how to defend herself. I doubt someone could have subdued her unless it was a blitz attack. And then the dojo wouldn't be wreaked like it was.

Ehh...that's true, Misa-Misa guesses. She wasn't hurt or anything...so maybe the culprit is the one who was caught in that struggle?

I see, it's possible someone's got to have at least a bruise from that struggle. If that's the case.

...actually I wonder. We haven't asked why Tarrlok was awake at all. He's been a mess lately maybe he was the one that messed up the dojo. It might not have had anything to do with the killing at all.

And it can't hurt to check. Not like any of us are body shy by now.
