Take Responsibility.

And once the allotted time for investigating comes to a close, those elevator doors slide open at the end of the first-floor corridor, offering another of those fast, smooth rides down to that black void of a courtroom

Twelve out of the original twenty-seven are dead; there are four less of you present for this trial than there were last week.

That's incredibly obvious as soon as the doors slide open and the podium circle comes into view where it's encircling that dark pit in the center of the room; Norman, the King, Tarrlok, and Lynne have joined the deceased, photographs in greyscale watching the proceedings from their podiums draped in black.

Of course and as always, the Kingmaker is watching too; he waits until everyone is settled at their podiums to begin speaking, though it's still impossible to tell exactly where his voice is coming from.

"Assured and Perceiving have been taken from you. You guys are really getting excited, aren't you? Two people dead in one night... Whether the guilty party succeeds or not, though, is up to the rest of you."

Fifteen Survivors remain. However many will be down by the end of the day is up to you.

[THAT'S RIGHT DON'T TARGET TWO OF HER FAVES HERE]

It is kind of weird he had glitter pretty much all over him. Never took him for the kind of guy to like it.
amygdalae: (did you say that the Hulk is gray)

[personal profile] amygdalae 2016-04-02 07:13 pm (UTC)(link)
[...now that this is mentioned too...]

Exactly how and when did the glitter get on him? He certainly didn't have it on during the party, that much I remember.
captainobnoxious: (20 boy is that shit broken)

[personal profile] captainobnoxious 2016-04-02 07:16 pm (UTC)(link)
[... oh sigrun did a good]

Both great questions. If he ate shit carrying the bottles, then was moved around with his burny stuff, then it's possible the killer still has glitter on them if it was after he died isn't it? How much weight does that hold, do you think?
amygdalae: in the heart of the sun (night and the storm)

[personal profile] amygdalae 2016-04-02 07:21 pm (UTC)(link)
...its possible. We've all aware how hard it is to get it off, short of changing entirely.

[That is, if its only on the clothes. Hair and skin is another story entirely.]

And we know Mister Tarrlok didn't have any glitter on him the night before, so unless he decided to dump it on himself, the most likely scenario is that it did come from the culprit.
captainobnoxious: (02 i'm the best ofc)

[She did such a good??? Holy shit. Who would've thought that her guard dog attitude would've helped stumble over the finish line here.]

Glad to have been of help. Are we stripping then? Or is it just a hands-only deal?

I think checking the arms would be good, too. Anyone can wash their hands.

Sounds good to me.

[Stan removes his suit jacket and rolls up his sleeves. No glitter.]

I stay outta that stuff, I just barely got all the glitter from home offa me.

[ ...oh, are we doing a glitter check now.

Well, Black's clear, no glitter here; he's not wearing his sweater today, just his stupid button-down, so checking him out is easy.

He worked with tiny rhinestones for his mask, okay, not glitter. ]
amygdalae: save it for... what? (well that is a nice sentiment)

[Bruce pushes up the sleeves of his jumpsuit the best that he can and raises both of his palms. There is some glitter on them (specifically on his palms, and a bit at his side), but--]

I was handling Mister Tarrlok's body earlier. Mister Colress and Detective Mouri can confirm.

[Which explains why he has glitter on his hands and his side where he had been trying to brush it off from him. It's not anywhere else on his body, though.]

It's probably best to check as thoroughly as possible. The culprit might have been able to get rid of more than we thought.
pokexplorer: (❖ doin science)

[personal profile] pokexplorer 2016-04-02 07:13 pm (UTC)(link)
The fact that there wasn't any on Miss Lynne is also odd. That is, if we are using the single killer theory.

Since, indeed, I cannot see a reason why Tarrlok or only some of the bottles would have it.
sleepingkogoro: (Default)

[personal profile] sleepingkogoro 2016-04-02 07:17 pm (UTC)(link)
Hmmm...

The killer transferred the glitter by contact, I suppose. If there was so much glitter then the mere act of touching could transfer glitter.

That would mean Lynne-san was killed through some way that required no physical contact at all from the culprit.

...

Do you think it could be possible the culprit could have glitter on them right now?
garudynamic: (Yes tell me more)

[personal profile] garudynamic 2016-04-02 07:18 pm (UTC)(link)
...is there even any way to do that? Like yeah, with a weapon you could shoot someone but-

-yeah, let's do a glitter check, just to get that out of the way.
isafraid: (Too hot (hot damn))

[personal profile] isafraid 2016-04-02 07:31 pm (UTC)(link)
Even a gun would at least leave a wound... it seems like there's no way she could've died without simply dropping right there!

Glitter ain't easy to get off you once it's on.

I reckon it's likely.

[-- beeeeeeeeeh]

It's like they're two separate cases entirely. Can't we just take this one at a time?
ratingspoint: (OH ♥ but you're all half-centaur darling)

[personal profile] ratingspoint 2016-04-02 07:18 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, if we're using the single-killer theory and assume that Lynne came across the body early...why couldn't the killer have pretended they were in the same situation?

Meaning the bottles that weren't glittered up were set up by Lynne, but the others...
garudynamic: (Huh?)

[personal profile] garudynamic 2016-04-02 07:20 pm (UTC)(link)
Like they were pretending to investigate together until they got the chance to attack?

pokexplorer: (❖ oh?)

[personal profile] pokexplorer 2016-04-02 07:22 pm (UTC)(link)
I could see Miss Lynne agreeing to that, as it would be rather odd to investigate a crime scene alone. It would look suspicious on her part if she did, wouldn't it?
