There's a good amount of confusion, and rightfully so. After all, aside from the rules in purple listed on the wall, there isn't much to explain how you got here or why you're here. Don't worry though. It seems like you won't be left to your own devices for very long. There's a brief moment of static - not loud enough to be particularly grating, but enough to let you know that something's about to happen - before a voice addresses all of you from somewhere unseen. "Hello. I hope you all slept well. I was a bit worried after..." It sounds like it's coming from somewhere above you. There doesn't appear to be anything it's coming from, however. There's a brief pause before the voice resumes speaking. "I'm sure you all have a lot of questions for me. I don't mind answering them. Before you ask anything, I'd like you to examine the rules again. They're posted in every room." The voice is masculine, but there isn't anything to note about it otherwise. "I am the Kingmaker. Welcome to the Vault."

Erasing someone's memories must be a huge undertaking; but 27 people's memories? I have a hard time believing that.

I'd wager that there's certain drugs one could use for it, but who would have enough time to gather that much of it to use on all of us?

Whatever the circumstances--drugging or anything else--it's not looking good for this Kingmaker.

You're telling me. Look at the way he doesn't even let us see him, I bet he knows how much trouble he'll be in if we can get our hands on him.

[And then lug him to the authorities. Because Speedwagon would rather do that... getting a few punches and kicks in would be fine.]

Even if he did show his face, I wonder what sort of repercussions would arise from that. After all... [ She gestures to the rules nearby. ] "Violence against the Kingmaker is forbidden, unless a Survivor is given explicit permission from the Kingmaker to engage."

Whatever it is, it means he'd still have to accept his licks one way or another. [Though his gaze was falling on those rules as well...]

Although I get the feeling he'll not be showing his mug around here for now. ...Maybe that's for the best.

Some of the others have made their displeasure for him obvious. If anyone got hurt because of impulsive behavior...
