There's a good amount of confusion, and rightfully so. After all, aside from the rules in purple listed on the wall, there isn't much to explain how you got here or why you're here. Don't worry though. It seems like you won't be left to your own devices for very long. There's a brief moment of static - not loud enough to be particularly grating, but enough to let you know that something's about to happen - before a voice addresses all of you from somewhere unseen. "Hello. I hope you all slept well. I was a bit worried after..." It sounds like it's coming from somewhere above you. There doesn't appear to be anything it's coming from, however. There's a brief pause before the voice resumes speaking. "I'm sure you all have a lot of questions for me. I don't mind answering them. Before you ask anything, I'd like you to examine the rules again. They're posted in every room." The voice is masculine, but there isn't anything to note about it otherwise. "I am the Kingmaker. Welcome to the Vault."

[Cherryblod is quiet listening to the rest of the survivors shout at the Kingmaker, and to that little bombshell. When he does speak, it's calmly.]

Define 'destroyed' as it applies to our worlds.

[ She really doesn't want to think about her world being destroyed so instead she'll ask what's been on her mind since the beginning. ]

Well, considering the last thing he remembers--that really, really isn't implausible. It does hurt, but it's not implausible at all.

And... okay, maybe he's a little calm for all this, considering everyone else, but a large part of it comes out of pure hopelessness. He can believe his world is gone, that he'll never see his sister or his parents again...

How long are we expected to stay here? After all, the rules state that if we want to end the exercise early, we'd just have to... [ kill someone--but it's a phrase he can't work his tongue around right now. ] Um, we'd have to be sneaky about our involvement in anything... less than nice towards someone else here. They also mention a duration, so I'd assume there's a time limit to this too?

[Well this is hell in a handbasket. Several of them. Who knew they'd need so many? And the people's reactions are probably all that guy needs too.]

So you're some kind of genius that's put this all together and decided to make one of us royalty, huh?

That aside, how is it that you did all this, know so much about us, and thought we'd be okay with knowing everyone we cared about was gone?

[For her, that's a sizable amount of people -- her mom, her dad, every brother and sister in arm, the people she'd sworn to protect from the Illness -- and judging from the catch of characters they'd got here it's just the same.]

That's not the one I want answered though. [Though she's seemed easy-going to the people she's talked to, there's a keenness to her that speaks a loud difference.]

I understand taking responsibility more than anyone. Death is an occupational hazard for any of my comrades and I. [It's sad. It's something you grow used to seeing and experiencing.] But why does our surviving group include an overdressed turkey and a good looking tinman?
