Induction.
| There's a good amount of confusion, and rightfully so. After all, aside from the rules in purple listed on the wall, there isn't much to explain how you got here or why you're here. Don't worry though. It seems like you won't be left to your own devices for very long. There's a brief moment of static - not loud enough to be particularly grating, but enough to let you know that something's about to happen - before a voice addresses all of you from somewhere unseen. "Hello. I hope you all slept well. I was a bit worried after..." It sounds like it's coming from somewhere above you. There doesn't appear to be anything it's coming from, however. There's a brief pause before the voice resumes speaking. "I'm sure you all have a lot of questions for me. I don't mind answering them. Before you ask anything, I'd like you to examine the rules again. They're posted in every room." The voice is masculine, but there isn't anything to note about it otherwise. "I am the Kingmaker. Welcome to the Vault." |
[OOC: You can be heard just fine through the PA system, so feel free to ask any questions your little heart desires; brackets are fine, you don't need to use prose!]

Oh, will you relax! I didn't say I was going to do anything, at least not until she started threatening me like a little brat. And once that happens...well, why shouldn't I return the favor? It's just words.
And speaking of words! Pointing out that she's probably going to die isn't the same as saying I'm going to do it myself - and even if I did, who cares? Murder is always on the table, darling, I don't know why you're all acting like this situation actually changes anything.

Murder isn't exactly what's ordinarily on people's minds. This situation brings it to the forefront with a tempting motive of "you can leave as long as you don't get caught". Personally, I don't know what's outside of this place, and I don't really care, but I'm sure there are plenty of people who want to find out.

So you can settle down a bit, sweetheart. Take a few deep breaths and don't worry so much! You'll start getting wrinkles at this rate, and I don't have my products to help you.

...if you say so. [ He'll try and take the robot's advice. ...his products, though. He has products. ...no no never mind
let's not ask. let's not. ]
Hey, Kingmaker, over here
[Say, now that he wonders about it...]
Hey! Kingmaker! What does "taking responsibility" mean, exactly?

[Right. Maybe it's the whole being locked in a vault thing and the whole destruction of multiple worlds thing, but that single word, "punished", is enough to show killing somebody can be a death sentence for the culprit too]
You should make that clearer in the rules! If everyone hears killing somebody could lead to their own deaths surely that would deter anybody who may be planning murder already.

As it stands, I'm not interested in harming humans - I'll protect what's important to me, of course! But otherwise? I'm not interested in you or your sassy little attitude. I have better things to do.

[Because Sigrun's sure it's gonna be worth shutting this goddamn machine up.]</small.

You're so angry, I love it!
Really, darling, save the passion for someone who's actually trying to kill you. It'll probably do you some good.

You heard it here first, straight from the horse's mouth.

Sigrun rubs her temples, waving her hand after a moment with a sigh.]
Alright, alright, you're not a bomb or whatever for nothing. [Mutinous tinman. Not that Sigrun's got a control on anything anyway, but getting riled up isn't helping.] I won't dismantle you, I won't laugh on your tin grave or whatever, but give it a rest. Pushing my buttons isn't going to help you any. Probably.

[does black have a name we just don't know
but he's heard kitten thrown around a lot and honestly he's heard dumber]
But fine. Hopefully there won't be any dying a lot between us - at least not anytime soon.

I've got doubts anyone could kill you anyway, tinman. You'll probably be here long after our great great grandchildren are having their own kids and living their lives here.

Bickering amongst ourselves is going to solve any problems--it may only cause them.
