[Throughout the late afternoon and early evening, Stan seems to have put a surprising amount of effort into setting up the dining hall. It's not usually something he would do without any kind of potential gain, but hell - there's not a whole lot else to do here. And really, if he hangs up some of the ribbons from the sewing room, well, it's not like anybody was using them. He knows how to decorate for parties.

There is a conspicuous lack of glitter in any of the decorations, though. Too soon.

The only dish currently set out is a pan of cinnamon noodle kugel. It's a potluck, bring your own shit! He has bothered to make some punch, at least, as well as bringing down some booze from the bar. Maybe alcohol on Murder Night isn't the best idea, but he'll keep an eye out for anyone who decides to indulge. He'd have to anyway. Apparently passing out in the dining hall will end in explosions.

Speaking of rude and arbitrary rules: off to the side, there's a table labeled KINGMAKERS. There's only one piece of paper there now, a well-done drawing of what looks like a young, ostentatiously emo Mitt Romney. It's obviously Stan's, since he got here first, but he hasn't bothered to sign it; apparently you can submit anonymously or not, however you feel like. As long as we're all participating in the public mockery!]

[Honestly, pork pie is an easy enough dish to prepare when one isn't the greatest chef in the world. And it tastes good- despite it being rather simple looking compared to some of the other things set out here.

As for the Kingmaker portrait... he was never a great artist- never really something he focused on in life really. So his offering for this little contest isn't exactly a portrait... but several sketchy attempts at a caricature. Who's to say the Kingmaker isn't some horrifying shadow monster?

He'll go around, sampling a bit of everything, checking out the portraits. Although as the night stretches on, you might catch him taking more and more glances at his pocket watch...]

The more you look at the time the more worried you'll be, so just leave it. It's a party, fluffhead! You can think about anything you want on the way back to your room, not while you're here, got it?

You... you've got to understand, Sigrun...!

[It's not that he wants to be constantly concerned....]

One of us is going to die in less than twenty-four hours.

[Probably. Most likely, with how things have been going like clockwork, a constant that... as much as Sigrun wishes she could change, can't. They make their own choice when they decide KM's a better bet than she is. As heavy as that knowledge is to her, it's not something that can weigh her down; she can't let it, that is.]

I think that means we should enjoy it all the while, rather than be nervous about who's killing who. We'll make each other's last moments good ones. Good memories. Is that sound?

...Well just throwing that out there is hardly going to make things any better, now is it? [Not like he was really expecting Sigrun to just say it like that. He's not angry at her, he was just feeling the weight of it.]

Ah... [But, he's got to nod.] Good memories at the least would be nice. I'd like to think the whole group of us have had a few. Certainly yourself.

[She wouldn't blame him for being angry at her, anyway, it's just the truth.]

I think I have the best memories out of any of us! And that's only because they include one of the best people here, you know? But I also have so many of them, and... I mean, that's because of all of you, too. It's actually really nice having met you all. That's one good thing come out of this whole stupid thing.
