The klaxons blare out bright and early Friday morning – granted, given the lack of windows in this place, it probably just feels early. Once again, things are quiet on the lower floors – the first-floor hallway isn't covered in blood, there aren't any bodies lying around, and things seem fairly normal to those just leaving their dorms. Of course, that doesn't mean that nothing is wrong; seven weeks in this place have probably taught everyone at least that much. Overall, though, things seem pretty sane until you get to the higher floors – where there are traces of blood on the fifth, in the general direction of the locker room between the saunas. >Explore?

[Well, after paying a visit to the scene of the body, one thought enters Colress' mind immediately. That purple haze, the...explosion? Something might be up in his favorite room. So that's where he heads. Not to do science this morning, but to investigate.

As he enters, he makes his way to the wall o' bottles. Anything immediately off?]

[Good call! You'll notice that the following bottles are almost completely empty: Iodine, Ammonia, and Acetic Acid.]

[Well this seems like a lovely combination...Colress sets them aside in case they're needed during the trial.

If there isn't anything else strange on the wall, he's going to turn his attention to the tables. Is there any evidence of someone working in here? Any beakers, tools, etc. out of place?]

[All right! Normally he'd be excited about science, but this is uh...yeah. Not the right time.

He will begin with the beakers and then make his way to the filter paper.

To start, is there any residue in either of the beakers?]

[Nope, they're clean.

[Seeing as how you're a Scientist who presumably Does Science in here, you'll probably notice that some of the filter paper is missing. That might be important.

[Indeed, that doesn't escape his notice! It's not exactly surprising either, considering whatever the hell is going on in the sauna. So Colress will make a note of that, and scoops up the other pieces of evidence for the trial.

No more questions that I can think of...! Colress will pretty much do a thorough investigation of the place but if there's no more to be found, he'll take his leave while brainstorming about his findings.
