The klaxons blare out bright and early Friday morning – granted, given the lack of windows in this place, it probably just feels early. Once again, things are quiet on the lower floors – the first-floor hallway isn't covered in blood, there aren't any bodies lying around, and things seem fairly normal to those just leaving their dorms. Of course, that doesn't mean that nothing is wrong; seven weeks in this place have probably taught everyone at least that much. Overall, though, things seem pretty sane until you get to the higher floors – where there are traces of blood on the fifth, in the general direction of the locker room between the saunas. >Explore?

[That's... ominous, but definitely an attention grabber. Speedwagon takes a moment to gather himself, he's sweating, his hands are shaking a bit. And that smell in the air isn't helping matters at all... but here's something to focus on.

He'll try to gather some of the bits onto his hand, if at all possible.]

[...Buddy, whatever this is kind of exploded Shirazu and is still actively crackling. Do you really want to pick this up, final answer, because I will allow it but it probably won't be nice.]

[.....you know what, that is probably not a good idea, seeing as how the cracking stuff is currently around Shriazu's exploded corpse. And Speedwagon doesn't quite feel like being sent to the infirmary right now.

Still, we can... try to get a good look at it. Really memorize it. From a safe distance.]

[Whatever it is, it's out of his league of understanding right now. He knows about some nasty things that could kill you, but this took the cake.

Still, it seems to just be going away on it's own, so, let's have a look around the area again? Feels like he's done this before.]

[Well, there's some general blast damage that seems to have impacted the room as a whole - the sort of vague singemarks and lingering smoke that imply that yes there was in fact a bomb that went off in here.

Otherwise, in terms of actual objects, there's something over against the wall - I promise it's not a bigass bottle of bleach again sorry about that one, it just sure is small and dark and lying there.]

The most Speedwagon could allege to this scene was someone set off a good amount of TNT... inside Shriazu. Good lord.

He's going to notice the... something over by the wall eventually. He'll walk over to it, hoping for a... hopefully less volatile investigation.]

[It looks like it's made of wood, actually.

Saunas tend to work by way of pouring water over something hot to produce the steam; this looks like one of the wooden ladles used to do that. Or, well, it was - it's broken and incredibly charred.]

[Speedwagon has come to understand this much about the saunas after a few visits in the past few weeks. Thankfully it doesn't look like the wooden ladle will blow his arm off to him.

He'll try to touch this. Is it hot to the touch?]

[No, but it truly died a hero, given how utterly wrecked it is. Try not to get splinters.]

[You will be remembered fondly, ladle, but not for too long, because splinters are only slightly worse then being blown up.

It's a fairly important clue, though. The part of the room where you pour water over something hot is where he's investigating next. Does it look like it's been used recently at all?]
