WEEK 4.
Three more have died this past week. Milla Maxwell was killed for breaking a rule, Chiyuki was murdered, and you all had a hand in executing Yoshikage Kira. It seems like this isn't going to stop any time soon. How many more will join them this week? Saturday is given to regrouping and rest; on Sunday morning the clock chimes as it always has, but at least there are no bodies to find today. It seems you're safe for now. The night before wasn't necessarily a peaceful one, however; you'll probably feel a bit groggy when you wake up, and it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost... Despite the Wordsmith's reaction to the last trial, it seems as though you've been rewarded once again for a job that was...well, it was done, even if he didn't explicitly say it was well-done. Another door has opened in that stairway, it seems, leading you further down into the building; once again, there are more rooms down there, more things to occupy yourselves with. Or perhaps just more means to get creative with regards to how you take initiative with your fellow Apprentices. APPRENTICES REMAINING: 20 |

[OOC: Welcome to week four of Trustfell! Feel free to make as many top levels as you'd like and tag out to other characters! This post is for all of your interactions this week... at least until the weekend. Don't forget to save those threads for coins and the activity check!
If you'd like to get in contact with the Wordsmith, you can do so through letters or the switchboard!]

...Well, not exactly return the favor, but at least he'll notice her and try not to be a total goddamn disaster in her direction, and we'll all have to call that good enough for government work.]
We tend to end up here after the weekends are over, don't we.

Yeah... I guess it's just that I'm pretty curious to see how right my profile actually is.
[ ... ]
I remember killing a god.
[ how's that for a bomb to drop ]
no subject
...Congratulations, I guess.
[probably not that?? probably not that.]
no subject
I just... guess I get what you were talking about, when you said religion wasn't taken well back in your home. [ She shakes her head. ] He was a real jerk.

In fairness, we've never had to contend with the actual gods themsevles, outside of them probably not existing in the first place. So you're probably a bit more justified in being pissed off about it.
no subject
So... people do bad things in the name of a being who might not even exist?

So... back where you're from, there's no proof of a god or anything, at all? Back on Gran Pulse, Atomos carves out tunnels, and you can see him doing it... and I've met Anima myself, so there's really no doubt.
no subject
[Interesting, though.]
So what are gods like? The ones you know of.

[ Give her a moment to think. ]
Originally, there was just Bhunivelze. He created Etro, Pulse, and Lindzei. Etro didn't have any powers of her own, but Lindzei and Pulse did. There are two worlds where I come from--Cocoon, which Lindzei created, and Gran Pulse, which Pulse created, obviously. Etro received no powers from Bhunivelze, because he regretted creating her. But Etro tore herself up because she yearned for Bhunivelze's attention, and from her, the first human was created.
She was kind, though, and she liked humans. So she watched over them.
As for the later Fal'Cie, Phoenix maintained Cocoon's weather. Carbuncle produced food, Eden maintained all Cocoon's functions and was the seat of power there, Leviathan provided Cocoon with pure water. On Gran Pulse, Dahaka searched for Etro's Gate, Titan produced powerful critters, and Bismarck protected a certain part of Gran Pulse.
Then... there was Orphan. Orphan wanted to die. Since he kept Cocoon afloat, killing him would send Cocoon into Gran Pulse and open Etro's Gate, which would've killed a lot of people from all the Chaos that came out of it.
Orphan's the one we fought and killed.

That...doesn't sound like it ended well. Just to take a guess.

There was a crystal pillar holding up Cocoon, 'til something happened after that battle. Fang and I were inside it, holding up the World Above, for a pretty long time.

[ ... she's being only slightly vague but also largely truthful. ]
no subject
[but why does your world suck so bad]
no subject
no subject
Why.
I mean, it's good that you woke up, I guess? But why is any of that necessary.
no subject
You know, I'm really not sure.
no subject
You know, whenever Kira and I meet again in hell, I need to apologize to him for every discussion we've ever had if they were anywhere near this confusing.
no subject
[ ... ]
Or they did, 'til a certain soldier lady got mixed up in all of it.
[ Anyway. She shakes her hand. ]
Sorry for unloading all that. And confusing the heck out of you.
no subject
...No, it's okay. We're all kind of a weird set of people, it was bound to happen eventually, you know?
no subject
[ She lets out a little laugh. ]
So, did you ever figure out who the guy in your dream was?
no subject
We just set out on a mission recently, from the look of it. Something we have to finish in some city out in the desert.
no subject
[ Hmm. ]
As many questions as those dreams answer, it feels like we all get a hundred more on top of that. Ever been to that city you were supposed to go to?
no subject
Things aren't...exactly going as we'd planned for them to go, looks like.
