WEEK 4.
Three more have died this past week. Milla Maxwell was killed for breaking a rule, Chiyuki was murdered, and you all had a hand in executing Yoshikage Kira. It seems like this isn't going to stop any time soon. How many more will join them this week? Saturday is given to regrouping and rest; on Sunday morning the clock chimes as it always has, but at least there are no bodies to find today. It seems you're safe for now. The night before wasn't necessarily a peaceful one, however; you'll probably feel a bit groggy when you wake up, and it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost... Despite the Wordsmith's reaction to the last trial, it seems as though you've been rewarded once again for a job that was...well, it was done, even if he didn't explicitly say it was well-done. Another door has opened in that stairway, it seems, leading you further down into the building; once again, there are more rooms down there, more things to occupy yourselves with. Or perhaps just more means to get creative with regards to how you take initiative with your fellow Apprentices. APPRENTICES REMAINING: 20 |

[OOC: Welcome to week four of Trustfell! Feel free to make as many top levels as you'd like and tag out to other characters! This post is for all of your interactions this week... at least until the weekend. Don't forget to save those threads for coins and the activity check!
If you'd like to get in contact with the Wordsmith, you can do so through letters or the switchboard!]

She goes to the kitchen to try and distract herself, and for a little while it works. But halfway through her fifth batch of cookies, she ends up falling to her knees, sobbing.
Once she's done crying her eyes out, she goes to the pool. She changes into a swimsuit--nothing too fancy, but it's pink, of course--and hops into the water. For a while, she floats on her back, staring up at the ceiling. Mostly, she's just thinking. About how messed up all this is, how she's had to face all of this without her friends from back in her world, how Alani would have loved to have a swim in the pool.
... So after a while, she ends up flipping over and starts swimming laps pretty intensely.
Once she's tuckered herself out, Vanille showers and changes into her uniform. She's about to head back to her and Varric's room, but she stops by the profiles. There's almost a hardened look to her, and she lets out a quiet sigh. ]
I get the "disliking Fal'Cie" thing now, I guess...
[ Orphan was a jerk. ]

...
...
Wow, this is so not her bag.
That said, she did just get some stuff from the vending machine and she can't actually eat any of the food? So she'll just come into the kitchen and throw (underhand, at least...?) the chocolate jerky at Vanille's head. Clearly that'll help??? ]

what's happening
She looks up when the jerky falls at her knees, and she wipes her eyes. ]
O-oh, hi, Elda...

[ CLEARLY.
SO HELPFUL. ]

[ She unwraps it and takes a bite out of it. ]
It's pretty good.

Sportacus...? [ Friend... ] S-sorry you had to see me like this.
no subject
Do you want to talk about it? It might help-- maybe a little bit more than stress baking did.
no subject
I-I'd like to talk about it... yeah.

...Well, not exactly return the favor, but at least he'll notice her and try not to be a total goddamn disaster in her direction, and we'll all have to call that good enough for government work.]
We tend to end up here after the weekends are over, don't we.
no subject
Yeah... I guess it's just that I'm pretty curious to see how right my profile actually is.

I remember killing a god.
[ how's that for a bomb to drop ]

...Congratulations, I guess.
[probably not that?? probably not that.]

I just... guess I get what you were talking about, when you said religion wasn't taken well back in your home. [ She shakes her head. ] He was a real jerk.

It's on a trip from the kitchen that she comes across Vanille looking at the profiles, with that comment--]
...Your dreams...are enlightening? [She still sounds like she's been run over by a truck.]
no subject
Yeah... real enlightening. Lots of stuff makes sense now.
no subject
...Mine too. [From Vanille's interests...yeah, that doesn't sound like she's had a good weekend either.] I'm sorry.

It feels really nice in here, doesn't it, Vanille?
no subject
Mm-hmm. It's real relaxing. I didn't think we'd get one!

[She smiles as she sees Vanille swimming over as she continues to float on her back.]
It feels like all our fears and worries are just floating away.

[ She treads water, and Estelle's absolutely right. Being able to do something that's not just milling around is nice. ]
Have you done much swimming, back home?
