WEEK 2.
Two people are gone from the group. Zagi and Kamui are dead, twenty-five of you are still alive, and the first week in the Vault comes to a close. Saturday is given to regrouping and sleep; on Sunday morning, those klaxons are as annoying as ever but at the very least there aren't any bodies to be found. It can be assumed, perhaps, that you're safe for now. The night before wasn't necessarily a peaceful one, however; you'll probably feel a bit groggy when you wake up, and it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost... However, those weird dreams aren't the only new thing around here; one of the previously closed-off section near the vending machine has opened up, revealing a spiral staircase leading up to the next floor. Go ahead and explore as much as you like; consider it your reward for a job well done. |
SUNDAY | MONDAY | TUESDAY | WEDNESDAY | THURSDAY
[OOC: Welcome to week two of Trustfell! Save your threads for coins and the coming week's activity check; don't forget to check in to this week's activity check and submit your memory regains!
The text and calling posts are still active, for the sake of contacting the jerk who's keeping you here, to be used at your leisure!]

Sure.

This is from our wedding.

I'm pretty sure I've seen your wife on a sea map once. I mean, I know it's not your wife, but I've definitely seen giant creatures like her on maps. I think they're closer to Iceland than Norway though, we usually have krakens in our seas.
no subject
Is Norway where you live?
[It's not a name he's familiar with.]
no subject
Yup. Dalsnes, Norway, a tight-knit settlement between a mountain and an ocean full of murderous, bloodthirsty sea creatures.
[... literally, between a rock and a hard place]
I don't think they've always been there? But they've definitely always been there since I was born, so that's still a while.

[At least he isn't bloodthirsty?]

To be fair, none of my neighbors are very friendly. Just through the mountain pass is where we've got everything else that wants to chew on our bones, but it's a little easier to protect on that front.
Who're the ones behind you two? Friends?

[He points out the oarfish - the really long white and red one.] That's Tatsumiya, one of our princess' aides. We've been friends for a long time, and we helped her out when she was raising her adoptive daughter. Apparently we have reputations as good parents.

[............
Part of her is like, good. Serpents should die. On the other hand, Cherryblod is a fine fellow and surely his sea orm friend is too. Their war or whatever is no business of hers.]
I think it's cute your antenna curve into a heart. [like she has obviously nothing else to say] And, uh. Do you have any kids of your own? Being as old as you are, I figure you would, but maybe not.
[just don't say that it's good the sea serpent thing wasn't poisoned just don't say that]

We have one daughter. Her name is Lobco, and she's the sweetest person you will ever meet.
[Parental bias? Slightly.]
no subject
... So, is she a lobster, or a shrimp?
no subject
no subject
So she's a big girl, then. A big sweet lobster. [Sounds delicious.] Do you have any kraken friends? Giant squid monsters that wrap their giant tentacles around ships to break them in half.
no subject
As far as kraken go... I did know a giant squid, back before the civil war.
no subject
Did love find you on the battlefield or did you two get hitched after? The scar she has is pretty cool.

[Doloz? Was that her name? Dolly.]
Were you a vigilante too?

[Since she's kind of the same way herself, she knows. Pretty carefree and goofy. And that pisses certain people off to an almost hilarious degree.]
no subject
[Do their names start with 'C' and end with 'aren'?]
no subject
[If it ever comes to blows again, Sigrun has a pocketful of salt from her robro to toss at her instead.]
Not that it's a bad thing, old timer, your manners must've earned you the friendship of pretty much everyone here. [... as has her lack of manners??] And it's not like you're hiding any bad intentions as far as I can tell, all honesty and good will, but I'm just curious about you, that's all. With your vigilante wife, long life, and civil war.

Well, it's true that I haven't been sitting around drinking tea for five hundred years. But I wouldn't know where to start, if I was going to start telling stories.
no subject
Alright, I'll give you a place to start. How'd you and your crime-fighting wife meet?
