Week 4.
And as the third week in the Vault comes to a close and the fourth week begins, the Survivors are once again down by two. Mion Sonozaki died on her own terms, and Yato died fulfilling his duty as God of Fortune in the best way that he knew how; the shrine built in the game room on Saturday stands in their memory. Saturday is given to regrouping and sleep; there aren't any bodies to be found on Sunday morning. But that doesn't mean the night was uneventful - it seems something else may have brought you some newfound clarity. Or perhaps not... Once again, that spiral staircase leads farther than you remember, clear up to a previously inaccessible fourth floor. Go ahead and explore as much as you like; even if the Kingmaker sounded a bit unhappy with you last weekend, the fact remains that you're still doing what you seem to have been brought here to do. SURVIVORS REMAINING: 20 |
SUNDAY | MONDAY | TUESDAY | WEDNESDAY | THURSDAY
[OOC: Welcome to week two of Trustfell! Save your threads for coins and the coming week's activity check; don't forget to check in to this week's activity check and submit your memory regains!

Shooting Gallery
[Today Mouri doesn't drink, so he is willing to go around. He was going to check the shooting gallery further when he found Sigrun]
Just as expected from somebody with military training.
[Mouri goes straight to take a crossbow too. It is not a gun but maybe it works well enough, once he deduces how crossbows work]
no subject
We use these things to kill deer and stuff if we see them out in the field, though honestly a good shot with a gun'll do the same thing. It's just also louder and attracts the attention of every troll and beast within like five miles.
no subject
[Right. Mouri turns it around in his hands a couple times, guessing how this is supposed to work. He is quite obviously inexperienced, but maybe he'll be okay. He takes the necessary projectile for the crossbow and places it where he has correctly guessed it will go]
Damn it, I wish there were guns in here. That's what I'm used to, crossbows are practically decorative in my world by now.
no subject
I'm used to guns too. I've been using the same one for years. I named her Gram, and I'm really missing her, honestly, she's been good to me for so long and now she's gone wherever. Hope they're taking care of her.
no subject
At least these crossbows are similar enough to guns in a way. It wouldn't be so much of a bother to me if these weren't so large.
[Mouri aims to one of the archery boards, holding the crossbow as if it were some sort of large rifle. He...doesn't know how to deal with rifles, but if there's something he's also good at it's aiming.
The arrow crosses the air and although it isn't an exact bullseye it manages to be off by just a couple millimeters, and it's likely it isn't even due to lack of aim. It's more due to Mouri not being used to the crossbow]
Ack!
[And there's recoil, too, due to the way he was holding the crossbow the recoil made it hit his shoulder. That did hurt, but he should be fine]
no subject
Not bad, not bad! You're definitely someone who's had a gun before, even if your form's kind of lousy. Don't press it right up to your shoulder, leave a little room.
[She'll show him, quick and smooth with her own. The uh. The handling part of it is hard to explain though, so she'll just... show him that too.]
The recoil won't be so bad once you've got your handling right. Then you just aim and--
[Bulls-eye.]
no subject
[The crossbow is loaded again, Mouri takes aim and well, bulls-eye! That was certainly a perfect shot! Mouri is a very skilled shooter, that is for sure.
He grins when he sees he did it well enough]
Yes! It has been a while since I shot anything, but it is never a bad idea to keep a skill like this one intact. One never knows when a gun could save your life.
Maybe in that stupid vending machine there are guns stashed too.
no subject
Maybe! I've just gotten a lot of close quarter weapons though, so who can say? I think the longest ranged one so far as been the whip, which I don't know how to use and I'm probably just gonna cut it up again for Mettaton, and the pike I fished out recently. It's a pretty nice one.
[Not something she's trained with, per se, but it's about as familiar as the sword.]
no subject
All I have obtained is a set of throwing knives and poison. The poison has been thrown away into the toilet, and the knives are back in my room.
...maybe I could try to train myself in knife throwing. It's something to pass time, at least.
[He had also obtained a sledgehammer but he either gifted it to Yato or he attempted to burn it into the incinerator and then stashed it in his room. It's Schrodinger's Sledgehammer, born from contradicting roleplaying threads]
no subject
Throwing knives is really fun. Like, one of the best things to do with knives, but I still find that sinking it into something's skull is the best feeling ever. You can just feel everything give away!
no subject
...sometimes you are disturbing, you know that?
no subject
["Disturbed" doesn't begin to cover Sigrun, honestly.]
no subject
[Did you expect a different answer, Sigrun]
no subject
[Did you expect a different response, Mouri.]
no subject
I mean, I'd be okay with visiting, if you can make it safe, but I don't think I'd dare to get out of any safe areas there could be.
no subject
You probably aren't immune, so you'd be stuck where you were safe anyway. Not in a military settlement like my Dalsnes, but in one of the cities that's more protected and has cushion room before you hit the areas you'd die a foot in.
On the bright side, a smart guy like you'd be picked up pretty quickly for some smart person job.
[Sigrun's going to take everyone to her world?? Fuck your own worlds come live in troll land.]
no subject
I suppose there's not much detective work to do in your world, is there?
[Mouri supposes that, since humans may not be reaching high numbers, everyone would have enough common sense to not to kill each other]
no subject
[... In one of the capital cities, maybe there'd be use for Mouri and Lynne's talents, but. Yeah.]
no subject
[Another shot to the archery board. Still doing rather well]
I think you'd get bored if you ever went to my world. Overall I'd say it's pretty peaceful. All the murder cases that pop up wherever I or the brat living with me go makes it all look more violent than it actually is.
no subject
[She's not taking another shot though, content to watch Mouri's.]
But you're right. I'd be bored as hell. There's not much use for me outside of killing trolls and all.

[Most of her talents lie in things she can do with her hands. And there's probably a lot she could learn to do if she was interested, but she's not.]
no subject
[...although Mouri isn't sure that would be good, though. Sigrun in the police force...well it'd be a thing]
no subject
I'd be your boss in no time. We'd have tons of fun! Right?
no subject
Kogoro Mouri is no one's subordinate! I'm a private detective, and that means I only work for myself. Sorry [not so sorry] to break your fun but I'll never be your subordinate.
[Well that was prideful! Mouri is even irradiating such pride he may as well be the center of the universe right now.
Still, after a moment of silence...]
Just curiosity: you are the captain of your group, aren't you? How was the training like?
[Because he has the feeling anything the police can throw at her in the training phase would be no more than a temporal inconvenience. Let's be honest: Sigrun would ace almost everything]
