WEEK 9 For the first time since your stay in the Vault began, no one died this week. That doesn't mean there weren't casualties among you, however – namely, trust, interpersonal relationships, and comfort in the group dynamic as a whole. Hopefully no one else pays the price for it. Saturday is given to regrouping and sleep; there aren't any bodies to be found on Sunday morning. You're safe for now – unless your dreams have told you otherwise... SURVIVORS REMAINING: 10

[There's plenty of people who could doubt her! There's people she'd choose over all others. And they're usually not part of that group.]

Of course! Can't say I'll be too good at supporting from the shadows the way you are -- not my style -- but I'll do my best to help you out, Cherry. I'm the best at whatever job I do.

[They have their opinion and even if Cherry might think it's wrong, they have their reasons and that's that.]

It's not so bad anyway, leading. All you really need to do is make sure you keep spirits up and focus everyone's efforts somewhere, whether it's a job as small as keeping good notes, gathering information, checking out different areas... Making food, helping out with redecorating, things like that. The more their minds are occupied the less likely they'll start questioning you since it seems like you've got a handle on the situation.

[Even if you really, really don't, and there's not a single plan in mind outside of "talk to the ghosts and hope for the best".]

As long as you don't mess up the way I have, and I've got plenty of faith that you won't, you'll be fine. Keep... an eye on Bruce, too, for me. This isn't the first time someone he looked to lead him betrayed him like that.

[And she's genuinely looking a little pained at that, because even knowing that she... still did it anyway.]

But my main goal has always been that I don't want anyone to feel alone. That there's no place and no one for them to go to in the end. That's our greatest enemy, I think, even if it hasn't really worked out in our favor week after week.

Think I can manage that. Especially Bruce - was going to check on him soon anyway. ...Haven't had the best of luck helping him, but I haven't given up yet either.

[Has anybody really been able to reach Bruce? Especially anyone still alive?]

That dress is for me, by the way. Something light to hang out in since I've been putting myself through heat hell the past like two months or something. Feels a whole lot longer though.

Can't say I'll look good in it, but I'll work what I've got.

I'm sick of dying of heat, pinky. I thought to myself that I'd rather just deal with habit if it meant I wouldn't have to try wearing a dress -- that stuff's for fancier people than me, see -- but I can not do it anymore.

I asked him to make it short so I could still fight in it if I need to though.

[Might uh. Might need it more now, depending on how certain people act towards Black.]

Oh, of course. Even I can fight in a dress if I have to.

I've never worn one before, so of course it sounds bad to me. There's no thickness to stop attacks.

Ideally you don't get hit. It's not as much protection as a heavy coat, but you're not dying of sweat, either.

Soooo what I'm hearing is that you're gonna teach me to fight in a dress.

Certainly. Once you have your dress I'll grab one of mine and we'll practice.

You're gonna have to show me where I can put my knife too. As long as I can fight, I'll be fine wearing anything -- even nothing at all!

Certainly harder to conceal a knife naked, but it can be done with a dress. Any leather in here or the workshop? Easiest to make a sheath out of.

If there's not, we can just strip it from the office.

I'll miss it a little. It's nice. But having a weapon on me is way, way nicer, so we all make sacrifices.

Glory got in contact with the others and warned them like you asked.

[Glory's good people. Part of her doesn't want to get particularly attached to the ghost seeing as... she has not had the best time with getting attached to people, but she can't help it. They're friends.]
