WEEK 9
For the first time since your stay in the Vault began, no one died this week. That doesn't mean there weren't casualties among you, however – namely, trust, interpersonal relationships, and comfort in the group dynamic as a whole.

Hopefully no one else pays the price for it.

Saturday is given to regrouping and sleep; there aren't any bodies to be found on Sunday morning. You're safe for now – unless your dreams have told you otherwise...

[She hasn't heard Zagi in so long... Gosh. There's a lot of people she hasn't heard in a while now (and one she won't hear no matter how much she wants) and it makes Sigrun bounce on her heels.]

Okay. Okay! Oooh, I'm kind of nervous, that's nice.

You have no need to be nervous. Though I will say that it is rather disorienting at first.

Ah, but enough speaking about it. How about we experience it?

[He turns to Beheeyem and gives him a nod.]

Are you ready, Miss Sigrun? Black?

[ ...this doesn't sound like it's going to be an awesome time at all. ]

[SHE LOOKS SO READY.

[With the go-ahead, Colress once again turns to Beheeyem.]

All right, Beheeyem. You know what to do. Tell us if there are any spirits nearby.

[Beheeyem nods, and holds his hands out into the air. The lights on his orb fingers glow in patterns. They start out rapid and hectic, but slowly grow more methodical.

As much as he hates to be the bearer of disappointing news, all he can do is lower his hands and shake his head to the once-excited and expectant ghost whisperers.

Well, maybe this is good for Black at least.]

[Colress frowns. He too feels a bit bad, since he kind of hyped it up and now it doesn't seem to have turned out.]

Unfortunately, it seems as though Beheeyem still can't pick up their presence. I wonder why that is, if Glory was able to get in contact with them...

[ He's relieved—and disappointed, and worried. Glory had gotten in contact with them, but... ]

Maybe they're blocked somehow? Like how there's ways to block signals. Maybe it's something like that.

[Sigrun can't hide her disappointment.]

I... Can that happen? Is it that bastard's doing, do you think?

That is entirely possible. Sometimes, a Ghost-type Pokemon can conceal their presence even from Psychic-types, so this could be something similar to that.

[He crosses his arms, thinking about it.]

Unless he has now managed to tamper with Beheeyem's abilities...but I would rather prefer not to think about how he could have done that with him under my care this entire time.

[ ...mmm. ]

Maybe it'd be dangerous for us to contact them right now? [ He can't think of any other reason that they wouldn't be around to try and talk. ]

[...]

Maybe. I guess we'll just have to ask Glory to talk them to us. I love that ghost, really, but I don't want them to be our only way of communication. So we'll have to keep trying too.

Indeed. As much as I appreciate Glory's contributions, I would like to speak with the others on their own as well.

[Glory definitely seems like a friendly ghost, but there are still so many mysteries surrounding them.

Maybe he's just a little high on alert now. This didn't help at all.]

But it is as Black suggested- it is entirely possible that speaking to them like this is too dangerous as well. We still do not know the entirety of what is going on on that side.

[They still have Ambitious and the Kingmaker to worry about, for starters.]

[Siiiigh. She's so disappointed. God, she really shouldn't have been working on her project stuff. She should've joined them all in the chapel.]

I feel like I've missed out on such a fun experience. I'm never gonna get to say hi to them. Or apologize. I mean, I've been told they're not mad at me, but that was weeks ago. Could've changed by then. And I wanna make sure they're all okay too! For myself!

[A leader worries no matter if she's an official leader or not. Or if the people in question are alive or dead.]

I am sorry, Miss Sigrun. In hindsight, perhaps I should have invited you to the chemistry lab the night that Beheeyem and I were successful. I figured it would be for the best to keep the discussion of it to a minimum, however...

I know what a rat tail looks like, and that's not it. It's more like... an inflatable pool toy that's lost air, I guess?

Anyway- despite the lack of presence, we can still attempt to send out a message or two if you'd like. They may not be able to interact with us at the moment, but perhaps they can at least hear us out.

[Hmmmmmm.]

... Since we can't reach them as is, then I'd like for them to try and get in contact with us instead of the other way around. It might be a one-sided block. Or that could just mean that Glory is our go-to, even if I'd like to talk to them myself. There's questions better asked face-to-face. Voice-to-voice. Whatever.

One of them's to know if they've learned anything at all that we haven't and another is about Ambitious. I'd really like to talk to that guy myself, you know?

[She'd like to let them in on their plan with Black's mole thing too but, well. That can't be spoken of.]

Outside of that important business, I'd personally like them to know that I'm glad they're well and that I miss them all very much. It's really quiet now that it's just down to us. I miss having a lot of people.

[She pauses for a moment, then glances away.]

... And to stop keeping an eye out for Mettaton, if they still are doing that. He's not around.

...tell them I'm sorry. [ they probably saw that trial, so.

it's the least he can do. ] And that I-- that we hope they're okay, though I guess that goes without saying, too.

[Colress nods along, making sure that Beheeyem is getting all of this. This really does say it all about their situation, doesn't it...]

Understood. You are more than welcome to voice your own messages to make it a little more personalized- all you have to do is think it. Imagine you are writing a letter to them. Beheeyem will be listening, and will take care of the rest.

[He says it because he'd feel weird forming such personal messages with his own thoughts.]

...I certainly miss them too, though.

Wherever they happen to be, I am sure that they are doing their best. We have to get ourselves back together and do our best as well.
