WEEK 9 For the first time since your stay in the Vault began, no one died this week. That doesn't mean there weren't casualties among you, however – namely, trust, interpersonal relationships, and comfort in the group dynamic as a whole. Hopefully no one else pays the price for it. Saturday is given to regrouping and sleep; there aren't any bodies to be found on Sunday morning. You're safe for now – unless your dreams have told you otherwise... SURVIVORS REMAINING: 10

Whatever you'd think would be fun to play. [ HE'S NO HELP HERE, YOSUKE. ] If I was playing seriously, I'd probably go for sorcerer or something—they've got a ton of spells, they can have familiars if they want, they're fairly intelligent and that makes learning more about the world easier because you can roll checks on pretty much anything to see how much your character knows about it.

You can get away with that too if your character's been a shut in or had a lot of time to read or whatever too. [ a shrug. ] It's up to you. I probably wouldn't peg you as a cleric-type or something though. Your luck's a little awful, and we really don't need our healer to have that if we're in a battle and we're all about to die or something because Miss Sigrun thinks it'd be cool of us to face a Beholder or... whatever the equivalent here is, I guess.

[ .......... ] Beholders are generally bad business, by the way. Dragons, too.

Dragons are easy to beat.

Dig a ditch, slice their underside. Shower in their blood and you shall gain invulnerability, taste it and you shall learn the languages of the birds. Eat a dragon's heart and you will gain wisdom beyond mankind.

[He was looking at the Rogue write up, but once he saw the back-stab mechanics he flipped away. Look, he doesn't wanna be associated with stabbing more then he has to be right now-!]

Do they blow things up? I kinda wanna blow things up.

...and I'm not eating a dragon that sounds gross.

They can. [ They're going to have so many explosions...... ] Wizards too. There's some difference between them, I'm pretty sure, but it's been a while since I played.

If you pick up tinkering you can make bombs and things like that too. [ ... ] Exploding arrows. Cool stuff.

Also it's not gross! You cook the heart before you eat it. The flesh is supposed to give you strength too, I think, but it's hard to scrape off the scales. Think of it like eating a lizard. Ever had one before?

[Someone is sounding in better spirits.]

[But 'scaling' makes him think fish and thinking of fish makes him think of EATING fish and thinking of eating fish, with their blank jelly eyes and slimy guts and cold flesh-

Okay then... wait, Black you said something about arrows?

Yeah. Exploding arrows. [ ........ ] You probably won't be able to make them though, and even then, you'd only be able to use them if you used a bow.

[ Crossbow is probably not... a great idea for that... exploding bolts sounds like a horrible idea? Fantasy or not? ]

There's a couple classes that can, with ranger chief among them.

Actually a bow sounds pretty cool. This other persona user I met used a bow and she was scary. It was a fight to even get close to her. Might be a fun change.

Do rangers get anything cool?

You can have a pet? [ ...that's cool right. ] It... you know what, since Miss Sigrun's DMing by the rule of cool, you can probably make it anything as long as she thinks your backstory with it's awesome enough.
