Final Investigation.

You've all done very well to make it this far, but it's not over yet. The klaxons blare out today, as they always do – there's no reason they should do any differently, not least of which because it's a Thursday; strange things usually don't happen around here until Fridays, and there's no reason to think that today will be any different. But as soon as you awaken and get a glimpse of what's happening down that first-floor corridor, it becomes very apparent that that's far from the case. The usual rooms on the eastern wing of the first floor are gone entirely, replaced by more of that glossy black that coats the courtroom; it's a little vertigo-inspiring at first, but it's not dangerous. Of more interest, then, is probably those three rooms that seem to be waiting for you – one to the north, two to the south. Choose where you're going to go. Look around for a while. What else are you going to do, after all? >Explore?

[Well, the double is kind of weird in the face; he's got a really severe expression going on, it's sort of creepy.

After a while, he'll shift his weight back and move like he's going to draw a weapon, so you might not be entirely wrong regarding what it's here to do, uh- ]

Uh... I don't like the looks of this guy! Seems like he's looking to cause trouble! [This... thing. Mouri. Whatever.

Mouri what did you do. Uhhhh Speedwagon's stepping back.]

[Good move, because he does indeed have a gun.

One that he will be aiming and shooting at...a whole lot of nothing in front of him, and it doesn't look like the shot actually damages anything.

[........ Okay but it's not going to stop him from fucking grabbing Mouri and throwing both of them out of the (fake) guns way.]

... The second Mouri is more useless than the first one though, because that sure is a lot of nothing being shot, and Sigrun breathes out, relaxing a little more.]

[Mouri recovers after being shoved on the ground by Speedwagon. He appreciates the service, bro]

I think we'll be okay. He can't hurt us.

[But yeah, Mouri is going to return to the podium as fast as possible and touch his name/title again, hoping it'll make the new Mouri go away]

[Don't mind if Sigrun moves her way into here, Mouri, watching your actions for a moment before speaking.]

Glory's on the screen back in the other room, and they said that we can see all our friends here. Not really sure if they're all gonna look the way you apparently did though, Mouri.

[... So let's try it!!! She'll hit Mettaton's name, yes, and head over to the circle.]

[He'll appear there after a while, though again, he's also looking kind of strange in the face - he's smiling, but the expression is manic and aggressive-seeming, and while it's different overall the sentiment is the same sort of determined gonna-fuck-you-up-so-bad that Mouri had.]

[...This is confusing as all get out. But. Somehow something clicks with him.]

I think that is likely. We're lucky these aren't as deadly as those in the pit.

[Mouri killing three survivors by proxy would be a sucky way to reduce the survivors list, bleh]

[It's like watching ghosts. It's creeping him out quite a bit.]

[It makes her hella uncomfortable, as nice as it is to actually see him again.

But she's also gonna wave her hand through him.]

You don't talk, do you? You just stand there and look like you wanna kill me. It'd be pretty hot if you looked like that when we were out troll hunting together though.

[He doesn't talk, nor does he seem too aware of what's going on; he bounces a little in place before drawing one of his hands up to chest-level, sweeping upward in the next brief second and...when his hand comes down there are suddenly a fucklot of bombs raining down from on high.

They all detonate on contact with the ground, the explosions large and fiery, but the projection will go right through anyone in the blast radius, you're fine.]

[Even knowing it's not gonna hurt her she still jumps away, marveling a moment at her awesome dead boyfriend's abilities and pivoting away, giving the two men a command before she goes off.]

Go ahead and switch it off. It's nothing I was hoping for.

The Kingmaker's name is here but it does nothing. Other than that I don't feel like depressing myself by seeing our dead friends right now.

[See you later, Sigrun. Sigh. Yes, deactivated. Mouri is going to try to see if he has missed anything in the podium touchpad and buttons. Is there anything left to see that aren't executions from people they know?

Is Glory or Ambitious available anywhere?]

[There's another button after the one that confirms there are 28 people alive in this game...somehow, yes.

That one will bring up another hologram immediately, but it doesn't seem to be moving to do anything, nor does it look strange and aggressive like the others did. She's got a weird, faded appearance to her, more obviously a projection than anything that looks properly solid; she has short dark hair and large eyes, dressed in black pants and a black turtleneck, and unlike the other holograms she seems rather aware of what's happening in the room.

She looks like she's waiting for something.]

[This is a new one. Knowing this is a projection and therefore unlikely to be able to hurt them, Mouri approaches to take a better look]

This may be Glory...at least I think Glory was a woman?

[What is for sure is that Mouri has never seen someone like her before]

Never seen this face before... [Now that Speedwagon's gotten the gist of these... holograms. They don't seem too scary.]

If you think it's Glory, then it's as good a guess as any!

[Her voice is even, if a little strident and generally inflectionless.]

[He jumps back as if she had just taken out a sword to try to impale him. Yeah, he didn't expect that. Being called by his name is another notch onto the list of unexpected stuff. What the hell?!]
