Friday dawns much like the rest of the week before it – that is to say, obnoxiously. The klaxons are as loud as ever first thing in the morning, and anyone wandering out into the main corridor will be pleased to know that- ...Oh. It's a straight shot down the hallway, meaning that everyone's line of sight is likely to be immediately drawn to the unholy mess going on past the threshold leading to the dorms. There's some hints that someone may have been busy out here last night – for one thing, there's a chair lying on the ground for god only knows what reason. That's obviously not supposed to be there. Come on, guys, clean up after yourselves. Of course, there's also a fucklot of blood. That's probably important. It seems concentrated on the far end of the hallway, closer to the elevator than the dorms. There's also a large trail of it leading somewhere. That's probably also important. Despite everyone's best efforts to keep themselves busy and optimistic about escape, looks like somebody got restless last night. >Explore?

[Alright first things first, let's get this underway--

Time to start examining Zagi's body. What wounds are there?]

[Well! It looks like we've got a lot of bruising, and a lot of slashing. Lynne's dealing with his, uh, neck there, so let's check out everything else he's got going on - what are you wanting to look at first?]

[...yeah he'll probably look at the neck last.

Since Lynne is starting from the top, he'll go from the bottom. Feet and legs first. Any wounds that look out of place? Is he missing any clothes? Was something ripped apart?]

[He's not missing any clothes, but it's not like his clothes are in great shape here. Whoever did this really went to town on him - there are slash marks absolutely everywhere.]

[So Lynne is right down there checking for a pulse.

Is there anything specific around the head and neck that she would notice?]

[You bet there are.

He's pretty covered in bruising and slash marks, as noted earlier, but the most immediately obvious injury is across his neck, deep and hard and done like someone meant business.

Somebody slit his throat, in other words.]

[She should have confiscated the sharp things Thursday. Why was she so lazy? Everything is horrible.

There are still things Lynne can notice with her basic dead body knowledge so: how fresh is the blood? What is the estimate for how long he's been dead?]

There's surprisingly little blood around the injury, despite the fact that slit throats are known for doing maybe two things and one of those things is definitely 'bleeding a lot.']

[Gabriel is getting the hell away from the body in favor of looking for anything else in the dining hall that is immediately off and out of place.

Like more blood or knives or something.]

[Well there's definitely some blood around, but that might just be because there was a fight in here.

But if you're looking around for pointy things, you'll find one. There's a discarded knife not too far from Zagi's body.]

[Right, let's take a look at the knife.

What kind of knife is it-- one of the knives from the kitchen? Does it look like it could have done the damage to Zagi, or is the blade too small?

...and probably most importantly, is it covered in blood?]

[It is Zagi.

The last encounter Mouri had with him was discussing Zagi's fighting prowess and getting tormented with bad puns. Mouri will try to find the culprit.

And for that reason, it is time to start. Time to stay in the Dining Hall and nowhere else]

Bruce-san, please check the body.

[It is a request. Bruce is a doctor, he should be able to find anything he or Lynne wouldn't.

For now, Mouri is going to scan the floor and between the chairs to try to find the murder weapon]

[Since a weapon was found it's time for something else in the checklist.

Since there was an huge amount of blood, is there any drag marks, footprints or any other similar clues involving the blood?]

[Seeing as Speedwagon's signed up for body guarding/more freaking out about a corpse, the best he can do is make himself useful while the doctors go to work.

Any thing about the dining hall immediately out of order? A mess?]

[It's definitely a mess. Chairs are knocked over and there's some blood here and there. Some of the chairs weren't spared either and looked a little beaten up.]

[Upon closer inspection, is there anything noticeable with the chairs?]

[Mages are the ones who do death rites where she's from, so after her short stint in fumbling around with a Norwegian one for Zagi (she's a hunter, dammit!) Sigrun will ensure all those who can't handle the body are out of the way of the important people who can and focus on looking for signs of a fight.

Zagi liked fighting as much as she did. There's no way he wouldn't have done some damage to whoever it was.]

[There were definitely signs of a fight. Speedwagon is looking around, but if you're looking to see if Zagi put up a fight, well... you'll probably want to look at the blastia arm.]

[Yeaaaaah the doctors and them look really busy with the body, but seeing as there's definitely a fight she'll go ahead and check out the blastia arm. At least seeing a lot of death in her life has prepared her for being close to corpses.]
