WEEK 4.

WEEK 4 Three more have died this past week. Milla Maxwell was killed for breaking a rule, Chiyuki was murdered, and you all had a hand in executing Yoshikage Kira. It seems like this isn't going to stop any time soon. How many more will join them this week? Saturday is given to regrouping and rest; on Sunday morning the clock chimes as it always has, but at least there are no bodies to find today. It seems you're safe for now. The night before wasn't necessarily a peaceful one, however; you'll probably feel a bit groggy when you wake up, and it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost... Despite the Wordsmith's reaction to the last trial, it seems as though you've been rewarded once again for a job that was...well, it was done, even if he didn't explicitly say it was well-done. Another door has opened in that stairway, it seems, leading you further down into the building; once again, there are more rooms down there, more things to occupy yourselves with. Do you have a sword? I only got this one and it isn't capable of cutting anything.

[Which isn't a problem for training, but it'd be kind of weird to fight Killia if he's unarmed. Not like he'd mind, he'd absolutely attack an unarmed person!!]

[Judy is up early. Like she always is. This morning, she regrets it.

She very nearly runs right into the shadowy mass as she makes her way out of the stairwell, and she has to hold the wall to keep herself from stumbling backwards when she sees it. But it doesn't attack...it's just there, and the horror of what it represents isn't lost on the rabbit.

She moves at a speed far quicker than a person, her feet thudding against the floor as she tries to ignore the darkness around her, trying to find the source because it has to be here for a reason--

....and when she finds it, she goes still.

That shadow is still there, as if watching as she looks on at Mercy's body, drawing both paws shakily over her mouth. And while she feels like she should move, she doesn't. She can't do anything but stare at where the poor doctor once was as the Wordsmith's voice rings out above.]

...No. No, she...No...

[The books are actually a good place to look; which ones are you going through?]

The one I just got makes that kind of impossible, I'm pretty sure.

[...You know, the first few times seeing a body surprisingly does make it a little easier. It's still horrifying to look at, and he's not entirely sure how process any of this, but he's not completely freezing up in horror or looking sick or anything like that.

Which... leaves him wondering exactly what to do with his face, or how to respond, because although he wasn't particularly close to Mercy, she did look out for him, she was nice to him, and...]

This is bad.

[For more reasons than one. It's not the most sensitive thing to slip out of his mouth, but it's the easiest one to process. And that shadow thing wanted them to see this. Why? What difference would it have made if they just heard the announcement...? That's a little easier to process than how dead the Doctor is.]

... Getting down to the fourth floor on an injured foot was hard but she sure did it! Just in time to actually see this one, unlike Milla's, where she arrived too late to witness the shadow eating her. ]

[ Holds up his claws, because he's perfectly comfortable fighting like this even if Gangrel has a sword. Sometimes he uses a weapon, but it's not really necessary considering he has one as part of his body.]

But anyway, once that response is out there, he charges at Killia with the sword because of course he does. Did you expect any sort of sanity from this man.

(Also I am still bad at fight scenes, I'm sorry. I'M ASSUMING KILLIA WINS.)]

[ This is a right of passage, all our characters must fight each other! But Killia will be careful not to claw Gangrel, he actually prefers just to straight up punch anyway.

And he actually enjoys that straight up charge, because it's way too long since he's fought! Eventually when it's over, Killia does win because fighting like this is natural to him-- but he is a bit winded. It's been a while and why are all his cool skills locked!]

[ Well, she's been through a majority of the basic RPG books... so let's try the outliers. The ones that don't go together with the system she's been working with or the more specific things like arcana guides. ]

[You'll actually find something in the arcana guides - there are a few folded sheets of paper shoved into the book. They're not noticeable until you actually flip through the pages, but then they'll fall out!]

[He's just as loud and obnoxious as he usually is, but he's definitely winded. Just. Give him a moment to flop onto the floor so he can try to catch his breath. That way he can laugh because holy shit. That was fun.]
