WEEK 4.

WEEK 4 Three more have died this past week. Milla Maxwell was killed for breaking a rule, Chiyuki was murdered, and you all had a hand in executing Yoshikage Kira. It seems like this isn't going to stop any time soon. How many more will join them this week? Saturday is given to regrouping and rest; on Sunday morning the clock chimes as it always has, but at least there are no bodies to find today. It seems you're safe for now. The night before wasn't necessarily a peaceful one, however; you'll probably feel a bit groggy when you wake up, and it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost... Despite the Wordsmith's reaction to the last trial, it seems as though you've been rewarded once again for a job that was...well, it was done, even if he didn't explicitly say it was well-done. Another door has opened in that stairway, it seems, leading you further down into the building; once again, there are more rooms down there, more things to occupy yourselves with. Or perhaps just more means to get creative with regards to how you take initiative with your fellow Apprentices. APPRENTICES REMAINING: 23 APPRENTICES REMAINING: 22 APPRENTICES REMAINING: 20

But anyway, once that response is out there, he charges at Killia with the sword because of course he does. Did you expect any sort of sanity from this man.

(Also I am still bad at fight scenes, I'm sorry. I'M ASSUMING KILLIA WINS.)]

[ This is a right of passage, all our characters must fight each other! But Killia will be careful not to claw Gangrel, he actually prefers just to straight up punch anyway.

And he actually enjoys that straight up charge, because it's way too long since he's fought! Eventually when it's over, Killia does win because fighting like this is natural to him-- but he is a bit winded. It's been a while and why are all his cool skills locked!]

I needed that.

[Thanks, Killia. Though now he's probably sporting some bruises. At least it was definitely fun!!]

[He's just as loud and obnoxious as he usually is, but he's definitely winded. Just. Give him a moment to flop onto the floor so he can try to catch his breath. That way he can laugh because holy shit. That was fun.]

[ Killia doesn't lay down, but he does just sit in the middle of the floor pulling out a bag of candies he took from the kitchen. Look, it's important to be prepared to snack at all times, and this is one of those times.]

[ They're jellies, he couldn't resist because they're so colorful and like hell he's eating properly today.]

[Killia, you're the best. Gangrel studies them for a moment before reaching out to gingerly pick one out of the bag.]

I've never seen anything like these before! They're sweets of some kind...?

[He's lightly squeezing it between his fingers because why is it so squishy, this is cool.]

Yeah, they are. I don't usually eat things like this much because they don't fill me up, but they're pretty good. I like the lemon flavored ones.

[ Killia is just eating a handful at a time because what is properly eating, he doesn't know that's for sure.]

[Huh. Well he'll try it!! He doesn't seem to know what to think of it after he's done though.]

...That's the strangest thing I've ever tasted. It's good, but it's... very different.

Try putting a few in your mouth at once, you can combine flavors that way. [ Handing him some more, because sharing is caring. As for Killia it's doubtful what he tastes other than plain rainbow because what else would he taste when he's basically putting every flavor into his mouth at once.]

You said before that you didn't have a lot of sweets, right?

That's right. We rely on trade and it's not like I had much money to spend on frivolous things prior to becoming King of Plegia.

[He shrugs a bit once that's out there though.]

That sounds like how the prinnies have to save their salary for sardines.

[ That probably does not make much sense, but it's the best he can equate it to.]

I'll let you know when I do, I have a few ideas. We'll need snacks if we keep fighting like this. [ So don't worry about the calories Gangrel!]

Sure, I'd like that. [ He's not usually too up to fighting with others, but these circumstances were different, and it's not like Gangrel was fighting him for the same reason Red Magnus did.]

I'll try to get a weapon then, too.

I just hope I don't get one of those outfits. [ With a coy smirk, because why is that dark mage outfit a thing. Not that he minds helping Mikazuki, but that outfit was almost a bit too much by demon standards and they're half-naked as a norm.]

I don't know what a dark mage is supposed to look like, I've only seen red, blue, and green mages before.

[Unfazed by the yelling, because this is actually the level of loudness he's used to...]

We have Mages - that's it, just Mages. I've never heard of Mages specializing in anything to a point where they get a different class name like that. I imagine a Red Mage would study fire... but I don't know whether Green would be wind or thunder.
