WEEK 4.

WEEK 4 Three more have died this past week. Milla Maxwell was killed for breaking a rule, Chiyuki was murdered, and you all had a hand in executing Yoshikage Kira. It seems like this isn't going to stop any time soon. How many more will join them this week? Saturday is given to regrouping and rest; on Sunday morning the clock chimes as it always has, but at least there are no bodies to find today. It seems you're safe for now. The night before wasn't necessarily a peaceful one, however; you'll probably feel a bit groggy when you wake up, and it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost... Despite the Wordsmith's reaction to the last trial, it seems as though you've been rewarded once again for a job that was...well, it was done, even if he didn't explicitly say it was well-done. Another door has opened in that stairway, it seems, leading you further down into the building; once again, there are more rooms down there, more things to occupy yourselves with. Or perhaps just more means to get creative with regards to how you take initiative with your fellow Apprentices. APPRENTICES REMAINING: 23 APPRENTICES REMAINING: 22 APPRENTICES REMAINING: 20

[ Elda is at the profiles too, more to look at Guzma's joke profile for Wordsmith or her own "eulogy" for Kira than anything else. But she's also biting her nail and- huh. ... Oh. Elda frowns, and then looks at the bracelet, walking over to nudge it with her finger ]

[because Gold has someone to introduce to Watanuki too, even if it's in a place like this!!! He has... a cocktail glass with him, with blue liquid in it, and the bottles out on the counter should be familiar from the trial!

That said, though, he's not drinking it. Just chatting up Aibo, his Ambipom, and seemingly ignoring it.]

INVESTIGATION

[...yeah. Guzma is just gonna spend some time in his room after the morning, just... kind of screaming into his pillow? Staring at the wall? Taking a long-ass shower fully clothed? All of the above? Probably all of the above.

Right. So. He calms down a bit, maybe. Takes a few deep breaths. Changes into his generic school outfit and arranges it so it looks disheveled and unkempt.

Yeah. Okay. He's... he's gonna go head to the vending machine and do some gambling to see if it makes him feel better. And surprise, it actually does, because along with a bunch of other shit, whenever he excitedly tosses that Pokeball, it's... it's his giant three foot long spider friend, who immediately scuttles up to him as he kneels down to pet the shit out of him.

Yeah. Okay. He's feeling a little better now. He's doing alright. And anyway, he now has an idea. Ariados gives him a little more range to explore, doesn't he? So does Masquerain, but a spider's a little better for climbing things and getting real close.

...

So yeah. He's gonna investigate the fuck out of the kitchen. For a good portion of the afternoon, Guzma is going to be in there along with a giant spider that's currently crawling on the walls and ceiling looking for secrets.]

[Gold's fingers tense on the book, trying to resist the urge to snatch it away from her, and huffs.]

Yeah. How many did you get?

[ He doesn't know if Guzma knows martial arts per say, but it probably will do for anyone who is good at hand-to-hand for now (or what he presumes is the case).

He'll then start with trying to go straight forward in terms of throwing a punch. But the coordination is a little dubious due to his inexperience with hand to hand. ]

[He expected that, you ass, but he still gives a yelp when he hits the water proper because damn, this is not a heated pool is it!!! splutter splutter--]

[ He'll regain footing right before the man strikes, a hand shooting out to try to intercept one of his punches by going for a grab for one of Killia's arms, and he was going to try to aim a punch at Killia himself, but he probably gets hit by his other hand. The surprise of being hit again likely makes him lose balance for real, and fall backwards, but he'd be kind of still holding on tightly to Killia... so does he pull the other man down with him? ]

It wasn't against the rules before and he just... suddenly changed it, then?

[...oh right, she's never mentioned that.]

We couldn't open the X-Door since only three people were dead.

[ Elda was jut walking to the mail room in peace, sort of hobbling a bit on her not-injured leg. ... And then she heard sobbing. And then she sees a girl on the floor of the kitchens. and then she smells a lot of cookies.

Wow, this is so not her bag.

That said, she did just get some stuff from the vending machine and she can't actually eat any of the food? So she'll just come into the kitchen and throw (underhand, at least...?) the chocolate jerky at Vanille's head. Clearly that'll help??? ]

[it's. been a rough day. rough to the point where he sees a person weeping on the kitchen floor and only thinks "this is absolutely reasonable."

he crouches down next to her, and says softly:] Vanille?

The vending machine... [yeah this. this is worse now.]

Would you mind if I looked at one? [gestures at the dolls]

[ Viktor is exploring the new floor, and after checking out the dojo his next stop is the gym. When he steps inside the gym and sees the very large bug he sort of just. Blinks and tilts his head, because what is this. ]

...Why is it so big?

[She's had...a couple encounters today by this point, so she opens the door faster than she did for Watanuki, but there's still a decent delay between Gold's knock and the door opening. She still looks...well, she still looks pretty awful, but it looks like at least she's washed her face. Of note is that she's in the school uniform today, which she usually avoids. Seems the normal outfit was too much hassle.]

Gold, aah... S-sorry if I kept you waiting long, is... is there something you needed?

[It's definitely a great idea! If there was anything in the walls you definitely would have heard it, but unfortunately there isn't. Where to next?]

Yeah, probably. I mean, I know if they were at full strength they could probably break straight through walls, so. Probably wouldn't be too hard to get to him.

[he hasn't thought about what would happen if you had your Pokemon kill someone and he doesn't want to.]

...but yeah. I haven't noticed any problems outside of that. Still the same guy.

[You'd think there would be something, right? But that's just it - there's no evidence left at all after Mercy's body was eaten.]
