WEEK 4.

WEEK 4 Three more have died this past week. Milla Maxwell was killed for breaking a rule, Chiyuki was murdered, and you all had a hand in executing Yoshikage Kira. It seems like this isn't going to stop any time soon. How many more will join them this week? Saturday is given to regrouping and rest; on Sunday morning the clock chimes as it always has, but at least there are no bodies to find today. It seems you're safe for now. The night before wasn't necessarily a peaceful one, however; you'll probably feel a bit groggy when you wake up, and it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost... Despite the Wordsmith's reaction to the last trial, it seems as though you've been rewarded once again for a job that was...well, it was done, even if he didn't explicitly say it was well-done. Another door has opened in that stairway, it seems, leading you further down into the building; once again, there are more rooms down there, more things to occupy yourselves with. [Stepping into the room, Varric motioned for Judy to stand a fair distance back from one of the dummies. Taking his position, he shifted his own crossbow off of his back and set it on the ground, for later.]

Alright, Officer, I have to admit, it's been a long time since I've done this kind of thing manually. Just bear with me, alright?

It actually didn't end up near as terrible as you're probably thinking. Cocoon was falling, sure... but Fang and I did what we had to, to make sure both Gran Pulse and Cocoon were saved.

There was a crystal pillar holding up Cocoon, 'til something happened after that battle. Fang and I were inside it, holding up the World Above, for a pretty long time.

...Okay, that kind of makes sense, since we haven't been able to get in the gym before. But... yo. There's something real messed up with the kitchen, my friends.

I mean, there's pretty small vents in there, too, like Killia's talking about. You know how we've been using it for this long, right? I inspected the crap out of the kitchen and everything looked brand new. Like, right outta the box. No stains, no chips, no nothing. The knives don't have any wear or anything. Brand freakin' new.

I actually took a plate and carved... uh...

[he draws a Team Skull logo on a spare sheet of paper.]

...this on it, right? So I put it behind some oatmeal because I figured nobody was gonna go for it, but this morning when I checked to see if it was still there, it wasn't. I didn't find it in the rest of the plates, either. It's just totally gone. Nobody took it, right? I'm kinda doubting it, but if anyone's seen it, this is gonna be slightly less creepy, I guess.

Though, I had no idea someone could be so talented when dancing inebriated. I believe it requires quite a bit of concentration for him not to fall over.

Do you suppose that.... shadow creature saw it, and somehow was able to replace the plate? It sounds like a lot of work just to keep things pristine.

That is quite strange. But, no, I don't remember seeing a plate with that logo anywhere.

I'm guessing that something probably did take it though, just not us if no one ends up saying they did.

Well, when all of that happened, we were branded by the Fal'Cie. L'Cie, they have a Focus given by the Fal'Cie, and if they complete that Focus, they turn to crystal. Our crystallization just happened to be powerful enough that it made a huge pillar.

...So these things just choose you, for whatever reason they decide is a good one, to do something important, presumably, and then once you've done it you turn into crystal. Is that about it?

[She looks down at her legs for a moment. There's no evidence of any prior injections if Hanyuu checks though.]

Mm-hmm. We got lucky, that we woke from our crystal sleep... but most people aren't that lucky.

[It does indeed look questionably taped together, but if there's one thing Jasper has learned here, it's that she's not about to turn down an opportunity to do something new.

This would absolutely not do in the order of the Diamonds, but what the Diamonds don't know doesn't matter, does it?

She jumps in the pool, and... thankfully she is still gigantic, so her head is well above water, she just. Looks like she doesn't know what to do for a moment before she tries to grab on to the homemade pool noodle, pressing her upper body weight into it carefully so she doesn't accidentally break the poor thing.

It's not as dramatic as it would be if she was just a regular giant woman instead of a space-rock alien giant woman, but it does look like the flotation device does work, sort of. At the very least, her feet are a couple of inches off the ground.]

Huh. This is unusual.

[But she's clearly excited about it, or as excited as someone as serious as Jasper can be about it, anyway.]
