WEEK 4.

WEEK 4 Three more have died this past week. Milla Maxwell was killed for breaking a rule, Chiyuki was murdered, and you all had a hand in executing Yoshikage Kira. It seems like this isn't going to stop any time soon. How many more will join them this week? Saturday is given to regrouping and rest; on Sunday morning the clock chimes as it always has, but at least there are no bodies to find today. It seems you're safe for now. The night before wasn't necessarily a peaceful one, however; you'll probably feel a bit groggy when you wake up, and it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost... Despite the Wordsmith's reaction to the last trial, it seems as though you've been rewarded once again for a job that was...well, it was done, even if he didn't explicitly say it was well-done. Another door has opened in that stairway, it seems, leading you further down into the building; once again, there are more rooms down there, more things to occupy yourselves with. I didn't feel like waiting until someone showed up, you see. Have to do something to keep occupied.

I'll keep that in mind. It's been too long for me too. [ It takes him a couple of moments to notice that Mikazuki is still holding his hand, and he just kind of blinks for a few seconds.

No one. I read my dad's book a lot.

[...He doesn't answer for a good long time. In fact, he starts trembling a little, but it's short lived, and he shakes his head to try and clear it.]

There's a lot on my mind, but... I'll be okay. Gold's here. We can do anything together.

I got my favorite singer's CD though! And Silver's got one of those players, so I'm gonna be listenin' to it later; nothing beats the blues like DJ Mary's sweet voice. Nice to have a piece of home too.

Yeah, alright, I get it. So is he tryin' to keep kids from bein' active?

I've learned a lot from reading his book. I've been able to teach Rhyperior a lot of things. And I've learned a lot about him, too... Or at least a part of him, anyway.

[Sometimes he can get lost in that book and pretend his dad is someone better. It never lasts very long, though.]

[She doesn't miss his trembling. The hand that's not on Weavile rests on his knee.]

Nothing's going to happen to him. Not if I have anything to say about it.

[Which he might not, really. And that's already a lie, because he can tell how badly this place is impacting Gold.

But he shakes his head again and starts to get up, then offers Hanyuu a hand.]

Could you come with me? I'll need to get dressed, but there's something I'd like to do for you.

The incentive's really not sitting well with you, I take it.

[...Because speaking of anger, you seem a little. Annoyed.]

[ Oh, Hanyuu...Orihime continues to gently rub her back, allowing the other girl to lean on her. ]

Rika-san is lucky to have someone watching over her like that. You're so strong and brave for trying over and over again, Hanyuu-san.

That kind of thing is gonna get you hurt in a place like this.

[It's not like he doesn't understand, and he'd be an absolute liar if he said he hadn't gotten attached to anyone here... Or wanted to look out for them, or... Damn. He shouldn't be preaching to some old short guy anyway.]

... So I'm gonna be readin' this book until I get why it was important to Chi, got it. [...] I asked Viktor about a lotta figure skatin' stuff since I never really... got to ask her about it, and from the sounds of it they bonded pretty well.

[So it must've been important to her. He kind of slides the doll over the table like he's mimicking Chavvot in the book a little, doing small circles and stuff. Simple.]

The first jump she did was one of the more difficult ones, apparently, and she did it when she was a kid. Pretty amazin' if you ask me.

[ Vanille's never been in this room, but she passes by and sees Gold. And, hey, Gold's her friend, so of course she's gonna come in and check on him. ]

Gold does enjoy showing off. It's gonna take a little longer than the usual time he makes it because of how much he's making, but rest assured there is definitely more than enough to satiate them by the end.]

Bon appétit, as those foreign guys say! But, [and he's keeping them away from the food for just a moment more,] if I catch you inhalin' these without savorin' them a little bit, I'm not cookin' for you for the rest of the week. Got it?
