WEEK 4.

WEEK 4 Three more have died this past week. Milla Maxwell was killed for breaking a rule, Chiyuki was murdered, and you all had a hand in executing Yoshikage Kira. It seems like this isn't going to stop any time soon. How many more will join them this week? Saturday is given to regrouping and rest; on Sunday morning the clock chimes as it always has, but at least there are no bodies to find today. It seems you're safe for now. The night before wasn't necessarily a peaceful one, however; you'll probably feel a bit groggy when you wake up, and it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost... Despite the Wordsmith's reaction to the last trial, it seems as though you've been rewarded once again for a job that was...well, it was done, even if he didn't explicitly say it was well-done. Another door has opened in that stairway, it seems, leading you further down into the building; once again, there are more rooms down there, more things to occupy yourselves with. The body is a pretty delicate thing, so you need a lot of control when you're cutting into it to remove something from it or add something like a pacemaker.

[She smiles weakly at the Masquerain, rubbing her cheek with a paw.]

What, uh...can he usually do?

[Talking to him seems like a good choice, because he seems intelligent enough to understand what Silver is saying. He sniffs at Silver's hand, then crawls up onto it and up Silver's arm to make a nest in his hair.]

He's a spirit, so- Gah!

[Hi there Weavile. Watanuki adjusts to suddenly a pokemon quickly, though.]

So I don't think he has to eat to survive. But he does like food.

A... pacemaker?

[Her eyebrows furrow at that. She's definitely not thinking about a device that aids the heart. She's literally thinking of a 'pace' in terms of traveling.]

[Oh...oh no it's cute.]

I'm glad to hear it. I don't think I would have been able to sleep at night without it.

So your friend was just...in the machine there?

There are machines that can do that?

[She doesn't know anything about Raven and how Blastias in her world can replace hearts so... It's a profound concept.]

[He was in the midst of resharpening an arrowhead when Judy made her way in. His eyes flicked upward, thanking his absent god for a brief spell of luck. It'd been a hard commodity to come by.]

A gift. [A rumbling laugh echoed in his chest.] See, I told a friend of mine that I would make something for her, and I like to keep my promises.

[Setting the arrow down, he reached over and picked up the bow. After wriggling free of his seat, he approached the rabbit with a smile.]

...Oh, is that, like, the story where there's some kind of Pokemon person living in a castle or something? And all of his servants got turned into object-ish Pokemon because he didn't totally kiss some enchantress's feet when he was like, eleven?

Investigation

[ So... Elda's still not over the events of the trial, afterparty, and weekend. You might come across her at the profiles reading over the "eulogy" she wrote for Kira about him drowning in fire in hell, smirking to herself. That actually gives her a little bit of pleasure and allows her to press on with her day. Her day which started late all things considered, her rolling some dice around in her hand in the mid-afternoon as she walks the hallways and around the first and second floors.

With her foot as injured as it still is, she doesn't want to make the trek all the way down to new floor.

However, later in the day, she remembers Chiyuki's idea. And so the woman sets out to investigate the game room, starting with the shelves fr the board games and RPG books. She's already being doing this casually, but she decides to be a little bit more rigorous now.

Yeah. A lot of the things that go on in a human body are partly electrical, so a controlled external source of current can do something like regulate a person's heartbeat.

[Didn't he basically straight-up die, though? Technology can't fix that quite yet.]

Yes, that one! Because he refused to give the enchantress refuge and begged for forgiveness once she found out she was beautiful, she had cursed him. She wanted him to see that beauty is on the inside and that he had judged someone by her appearance despite a plea for help.

[Though that part was a lie and she was testing him, but details.]

The heroine, Bella, instead falls in love with the monster, seeing that he is truly kind and not judging based on his appearance.

Lieze did it, and she died. Seraphina did it, and I was barely able to deflect the blast.

[...clearly this is not the same thing, but this is what's on his mind that she kinda stepped into, whoops.]

[Well, this floor has certainly been...interesting enough, to say the least. There are a few things that they could conceivably use for their competition of sorts, and this is one of the last rooms she checks.

...Lusamine's not surprised to see Gangrel practicing, but huh.]

You weren't lying when you said you were good in a fight, it seems.

I suppose that makes sense? [She tilts her head... no it doesn't make sense...]

...and you think that as a result I'll be hurt as well?

[She gives him a serious look, attempting to make or keep eye contact with him.]

...well, neither have I, but... yeah, that makes sense. I think it's probably better to have someone move the pad around for you if you wanna practice that kinda stuff, because otherwise you're just beating down a stationary target.

Just don't, at least not right now. [ He's not trying to back away from her any, in fact he's more defiant than usual.]

[Judy's eyes widen a little at the sight of the hand-crafted bow, and almost automatically she reaches out with her paws to accept it. It's far lighter than she'd expected it to be, but she's also never really handled a bow before.

She looks up at him once she's holding it, and she looks pretty beyond words.]

You really are talented, you know that? I'm very impressed.

[firstaid]

[Yes, she's noticing that. It's making her upset at him and it shows. Then again, she stinks at hiding her emotions most of the time.]

Then talk to me instead of giving me cryptic responses.

I don't want to talk about how someone almost died for me again. I was able to save her this time, but I had to-- [ No, he's not explaining that.]

I have to get stronger so I can kill Void before he hurts anyone else.
