WEEK 4.

WEEK 4 Three more have died this past week. Milla Maxwell was killed for breaking a rule, Chiyuki was murdered, and you all had a hand in executing Yoshikage Kira. It seems like this isn't going to stop any time soon. How many more will join them this week? Saturday is given to regrouping and rest; on Sunday morning the clock chimes as it always has, but at least there are no bodies to find today. It seems you're safe for now. The night before wasn't necessarily a peaceful one, however; you'll probably feel a bit groggy when you wake up, and it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost... Despite the Wordsmith's reaction to the last trial, it seems as though you've been rewarded once again for a job that was...well, it was done, even if he didn't explicitly say it was well-done. Another door has opened in that stairway, it seems, leading you further down into the building; once again, there are more rooms down there, more things to occupy yourselves with. Where should I begin...

I suppose it'll have to be with this: a few days before Christmas, I was... I suppose you could say attacked, but I was unharmed. Mostly it was just sleeping gas canisters.

Oh you still need money to get buy, of course, but without food expenses it's not like we need a lot. The savings my James and I built up have the manor as fairly self-sufficient.

[ Little does she knows of Karin's personal money woes... ]

If not there, then the false bottom. If not there then... her room, maybe? The vending machine? It might be somewhere else entirely.

Not really? It's just that waking up in that room was the first thing that happened in that memory.

[The Healing Room. Given its holographic walls there's a very slim chance of something like that being here somewhere. On to tasing.]

That just means I got knocked out with an electric shock.

False bottom's a good idea. You might have a bad time tryin' to get it to open with those nails though, unless you don't mind breakin' them by accident. I can do it tomorrow if nothin' turns up.

It's not a problem. [ He stretches a bit, flaring his wings momentarily in doing so.]

I can help you with the basics, but I'd never be a good enough teacher beyond that. Not when I didn't finish my own training.

[ It does, and owww she hurts. He's really not surprised, but he took the full brunt of that with his shoulder and he'll definitely be feeling that later. She's smart in guarding right after though, as he doesn't let the pain stop him from counter attacking. A straight up hit won't do with her guard, so instead he runs up to her, jumping at the last second to glide over her head. His wings are useful in combat when he has the room to utilize them, even if she has a couple feet on him in height. With any luck he'll get in a swift blow to her back if she doesn't turn around fast enough.]

...I think I'd be dead if that happened. [ He really can't imagine that fight going any other way than mutual destruction. Is this r4 redux.]

You're still teaching me and I appreciate that more than you know, as I've already said.

[She'll move in and attempt to grab his hands.]

It is. I don't remember the last time absolutely nobody recognized me.

[ Hasetsu is nice and quiet, but not devoid of people who recognize him - he still gets hassled by nosy reporters from time to time and people who take his picture without asking when he takes Makkachin for a walk in the mornings. ]

I have no expectations to live up to here, and nobody's going to be disappointed when they notice I'm a person with flaws and not some perfect emperor of the ice. ...It's really nice.

[ He's still more than a little hesitant to speak about personal things like this, because he prefers people to think his life is perfect -- that he doesn't have a string of failed relationships behind him or that his fame doesn't come with a great deal of pressure. But Gold is someone he likes and opened up to him, and he is starting to feel like he can do the same around him. He's a good kid. ]

[introspects]

[ The little boop to her noise makes her giggle a tiny bit, watching as Mugetsu moves around; she holds her arm towards Watanuki, letting Mugetsu crawl off if he wants to. ]

Here you go, Mugetsu-chan. Watanuki-kun will take good care of you.

[introspects]

Oh...oh, wow.

[ Dang, this is all really intense. Phi's really been through a lot, Orihime muses, though that game does seem way more high-pressure than this one. ]

Was there a bomb in there?

O-Oh, well...sort of. I'm in the handicrafts club at school, so I picked it up as a little hobby. I'm not really good at it, haha...

[ Her eyes go back down to the yarn--a half completed bracelet for Jasper--and her fingers curl into fists on her lap. ]

I can help you look, Munechika-san. It's no problem.

[introspects]

And I'm glad I met you, too.

[ She will take Hanyuu's hand and give it a gentle squeeze. ]

Not really. Um, my knowledge of it is very, very limited, haha... She knew some Japanese, too.

Heh. You and me both. But I'll let you know once I remember everything.

[ At first, you may not recognize this is Orihime. She'd used a pair of scissors from the sewing room to cut her hair short; it's messy, obviously not done by a pro, but that's how it is. Furthermore, with Hanyuu giving her her hairpins back, she's wearing those in her hair; clipped to the right side, a nice touch among the mess.

Today, Orihime cannot be found at tabletop gaming night; she seems very solemn about heading to the mailroom. For anyone who sees, Nick and Judy's bracelets are placed on top of the desk as Orihime writes something on one of the papers. She stuffs both of the bracelets inside of the envelopes and...drops it inside of the mailbox.

For the rest of the day, she can be found in the library looking through some shelves for some information on...something?

And then, in the evening, she will be in the foyer to talk with shadowfriend. She's seen others do this, so she comes with two papers labeled yes and no, respectively. ]

Are Nick-kun and Judy-chan with you?

[matchbreaker]

If I knew that, wouldn't I tell you? Apparently, neither he nor it named the thing, just people long ago.

[matchbreaker]

Only some basics here too. Darn. I wonder if anyone left can speak German...

[ SIGH. ]

[ She actually stops drawing at that, just for a moment. She... no, she just goes back to trying to make the eyes look right. ]

To begin with, they shouldn't. Nothing good can ever come from it - but if they did, it would be a dead end.

[matchbreaker]

These don't break very easily.

[ She considers raking his face to show this.

She instead just pressed a little hard on his chest. ]
