WEEK 4.

WEEK 4 Three more have died this past week. Milla Maxwell was killed for breaking a rule, Chiyuki was murdered, and you all had a hand in executing Yoshikage Kira. It seems like this isn't going to stop any time soon. How many more will join them this week? Saturday is given to regrouping and rest; on Sunday morning the clock chimes as it always has, but at least there are no bodies to find today. It seems you're safe for now. The night before wasn't necessarily a peaceful one, however; you'll probably feel a bit groggy when you wake up, and it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost... Despite the Wordsmith's reaction to the last trial, it seems as though you've been rewarded once again for a job that was...well, it was done, even if he didn't explicitly say it was well-done. Another door has opened in that stairway, it seems, leading you further down into the building; once again, there are more rooms down there, more things to occupy yourselves with. Or perhaps just more means to get creative with regards to how you take initiative with your fellow Apprentices. APPRENTICES REMAINING: 23 APPRENTICES REMAINING: 22 APPRENTICES REMAINING: 20

[ At first, you may not recognize this is Orihime. She'd used a pair of scissors from the sewing room to cut her hair short; it's messy, obviously not done by a pro, but that's how it is. Furthermore, with Hanyuu giving her her hairpins back, she's wearing those in her hair; clipped to the right side, a nice touch among the mess.

Today, Orihime cannot be found at tabletop gaming night; she seems very solemn about heading to the mailroom. For anyone who sees, Nick and Judy's bracelets are placed on top of the desk as Orihime writes something on one of the papers. She stuffs both of the bracelets inside of the envelopes and...drops it inside of the mailbox.

For the rest of the day, she can be found in the library looking through some shelves for some information on...something?

And then, in the evening, she will be in the foyer to talk with shadowfriend. She's seen others do this, so she comes with two papers labeled yes and no, respectively. ]

Are Nick-kun and Judy-chan with you?

[ Tomorrow is Friday, and Viktor is seeing a pattern here; they will probably find a body tomorrow. That's why he heads to the library to get some murder mystery books to read so he can be as prepared as possible. Confusion flickers across his face when he spots Orihime, not recognizing her immediately. But once he realizes it's Orihime, he smiles. ]

It looks a little messy, but I like your new haircut.

[introspects]

[ Orihime, unfortunately, could not find a book on autopsies. However, she's going to look for something else--something related to what was mentioned at the meeting. Time travel.

Suddenly, she sees Viktor. The compliment makes her a little flustered, despite how haggard she seems. ]

O-Oh! Thank you, Nikiforov-san. I...didn't really know how to fix it, so...

[quadruples]

Ask around to see if anyone knows how to touch it up?

[introspects]

Y-Yup! I plan on it. Were you looking for something?

[quadruples]

I came here to pick up some murder mystery novels. I want to take notes; we may need it tomorrow.

[Watanuki has his own letter to drop off, but he stops suddenly when he sees Orihime. The haircut is definitely unexpected, but it's really cute on her, and he can feel a blush creeping up his face.

Welp. Time for him to discreetly cover his face by grabbing a handful of papers from the blank paper pile and acting like he's totally focused on something. If she can't see his face, everything will be okay.]

Hi, Inoue-san.

[introspects]

[ The ruffling of papers grabs her attention, alerting her that someone else is here. That someone is Watanuki, and he definitely does seem focused on something. ]

Hi, Watanuki-kun...! Um, what are you working on?

[foundfate]

Aah, nothing important.

[His face is still buried in those papers though.]

What are you up to? Writing letters?

[introspects]

Mhmm.

[ Stay strong, Orihime, don't cry-- ]

This is for Judy-chan and Nick-kun. Since Gold-kun found that letter from Chiyuki-san, I...I thought I should give it a try, too. See if they'll get anything back.

[foundfate]

...oh.

[That. That is actually enough to snap him out of that lovey-dovey thing he had going on. He lowers the papers so he can actually look at Orihime now.]

I...that's not a bad idea. I was thinking of doing the same thing for Chiyuki too.

[In fact, that's the letter he has in his hand.]

The shadow in the wall, Kageshirou? I asked it if it could take letters to people, and it said no.

[The right height, the right stature, but that is very definitely- Hanyuu does a small double-take when she sees Orihime.]

You've...a new look?

[introspects]

Eh...?

[ A new look--well... ] S-Something like that, yes, ehe... How are you holding up, Hanyuu-san?

...I am getting by.

[Code for not really well but you know] I...could ask you the same.

[introspects]

Oh...I...I'm the same.

[ Just...barely getting by. But the haircut--the haircut is a reminder for her to start anew. Sitting around, crying for help, feeling helpless...none of those things will do anything.

As much as she's still pained over the deaths of her friends, she has to stay strong. ]

But I'm not giving up.

[She just has to tell her that, and it's as she says this that Hanyuu walks up to her and places a hand on her arm.]

[It takes a while for it to respond; for a good long moment it seems content to disregard anything that's going on in front of it, but eventually a response will come - it's pretty used to this game by now.

And Angela-san? What about her?

Are they still trapped inside of this university?

[And that gets neither a yes nor a no; it just keeps flowing down the wall, as it does when it has nothing to say.]

She's so cute with shortened hair, and he feels warmth creep up his neck at her new look; it's shoddy, sure, but it's cute and it fits her in a way. He'll clear his throat.]

Lookin' good! You need someone to help out with the back there? I wouldn't mind doin' it for you. At all.

Ah, Gold-kun!

[ Hi friend! She gives him a smile, sort of embarrassed by the compliment but flattered nonetheless. ]

Oh, thank you! Actually, I would appreciate that, haha! It's really hard to do it myself since I can't...see the back of my head and all.

No problem, no problem! There ain't too much to clean up anyway, just a bit here and there.

[Oooooh Watanuki is gonna be so pb and jelly--]

C'mon back to my room, I got a weird pair of scissors lately I figure might work.

Ahaha, I only found scissors from the sewing room...maybe that's why it didn't turn out so well!
