WEEK 4.

WEEK 4 Three more have died this past week. Milla Maxwell was killed for breaking a rule, Chiyuki was murdered, and you all had a hand in executing Yoshikage Kira. It seems like this isn't going to stop any time soon. How many more will join them this week? Saturday is given to regrouping and rest; on Sunday morning the clock chimes as it always has, but at least there are no bodies to find today. It seems you're safe for now. The night before wasn't necessarily a peaceful one, however; you'll probably feel a bit groggy when you wake up, and it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost... Despite the Wordsmith's reaction to the last trial, it seems as though you've been rewarded once again for a job that was...well, it was done, even if he didn't explicitly say it was well-done. Another door has opened in that stairway, it seems, leading you further down into the building; once again, there are more rooms down there, more things to occupy yourselves with. Or perhaps just more means to get creative with regards to how you take initiative with your fellow Apprentices. APPRENTICES REMAINING: 23 APPRENTICES REMAINING: 22 APPRENTICES REMAINING: 20

[Well, hearing laughter is a lot better than hearing screaming or something, right? Though...it doesn't mean that Judy is any less confused upon seeing Watanuki, of all people, on the floor with what looks like a feather boa or something tangled around him.

Judy blinks a few times, walking over with her pen and notebook in hand.]

Kimihiro...?

[foundfate]

[As soon as Judy speaks up, that 'feather boa' is going to stop bothering Watanuki long enough to crawl right over to her and sniff at her. Up-close it might be more obvious that one end of it is definitely a head, with two little ears and two little eyes.

While he has a moment, Watanuki is going to sit up and breathe.]

Sorry Judy. I didn't expect him to suddenly come out of the vending machine like that.

[officerhops]

"Him"? Oh-!

[Judy jumps a little bit when the furry snake thing suddenly makes its way over, causing her to go very still. Possibly out of some sort of instinct, but she's not moving an inch as he sniffs her, especially not when she notices the ears and...general face, area.]

Is, uh...is he a friend of yours?

[foundfate]

Yeah, this is Mugetsu. He's from my world, and we're pretty good friends.

[Mugetsu can't talk, but he does make a noise of approval there. Then he'll sort of lift himself up, not unlike a periscope, so he can look at Judy's face. Funnily enough, he's long enough to do that. Judy y u so short.]

Don't worry, he doesn't bite.

[officerhops]

[She could say the same about you, Mugetsu. Being told that he won't bite is a comfort at least, causing her shoulders to relax as she looks eye-to-eye with the fuzzy little creature.]

Well, any friend of Kimihiro's is a friend of mine. It's nice to meet you, Mugetsu.

[foundfate]

[Mugetsu shows his approval of Judy by booking her on the nose with his nose. Then he crawls back to Watanuki, who is standing by this point, and makes his way up to perch on his shoulder.]

I guess he approves of you too.

[officerhops]

[Oh...oh no it's cute.]

I'm glad to hear it. I don't think I would have been able to sleep at night without it.

So your friend was just...in the machine there?

[Is that animal abuse]

[foundfate]

Yeah, it was so weird! I was putting in these coins to see if anything good would come out-

[He indicates to all the junk on the floor.]

-And then he came flying out at top-speed!

[officerhops]

Gosh...well, I'm glad he's alright. He looks like he's happy to see you.

[Between the Pokemon and now this furry snake...well, it's not Zootopia, but Judy's feeling a little less outnumbered by humans.

Is this what predators feel like with prey animals?]

[foundfate]

Yeah, he's always been pretty attached to me. Sometimes he'll hide in my coat and come to school with me too.

[In the background, just outside of Watanuki's line of sight, Mugetsu twists his tail around into a shape that vaguely looks like a heart. He loev the noodle.]

[officerhops]

[cute]

Is he pretty good at staying out of trouble, then?

[foundfate]

Usually, as long as I'm not in danger.

[Mugetsu will show how he does that too: he dives down the front of Watanuki's vest, nestling into a spot somewhere between that vest and shirt. See? He's hidden!]

He can get a little protective though.

[officerhops]

[CUTE...]

Haha...you sure won't have to worry about anything happening with him around, I'd bet.

[foundfate]

Well hopefully I wouldn't have to worry anyway. Nobody would want to murder someone like me, right?

[officerhops]

[Judy raises a brow at Watanuki, folding her arms over her chest.]

Don't say that too loud. You might jinx yourself.
