WEEK 4.

WEEK 4 Three more have died this past week. Milla Maxwell was killed for breaking a rule, Chiyuki was murdered, and you all had a hand in executing Yoshikage Kira. It seems like this isn't going to stop any time soon. How many more will join them this week? Saturday is given to regrouping and rest; on Sunday morning the clock chimes as it always has, but at least there are no bodies to find today. It seems you're safe for now. The night before wasn't necessarily a peaceful one, however; you'll probably feel a bit groggy when you wake up, and it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost... Despite the Wordsmith's reaction to the last trial, it seems as though you've been rewarded once again for a job that was...well, it was done, even if he didn't explicitly say it was well-done. Another door has opened in that stairway, it seems, leading you further down into the building; once again, there are more rooms down there, more things to occupy yourselves with. [ Well then. Mikazuki doesn't certainly draw attention to it, so the moving on is likely successful, and he'll take a nod. ]

Anything is fine. You see, I had gotten up quite early and I forgot to make myself something to eat, ha ha ha... you know how those mornings are.

[feistytrader]

I don't know. I don't usually wake up before the kitchen's open. ...I've gotten locked out at night, though.

[But regardless, he will make Mikazuki a quick breakfast; there will be eggs, of course, because he absolutely loves the shit out of eggs, and he can't imagine why anyone wouldn't, but he'll also throw in some fried rice, because that's quick, tasty, filling, and... You know, actually a meal.]

Are you doing okay? Did you have another dream?

[If he doesn't want to talk about it, that's no big deal, but it's a good a conversation starter as any.]

Ah, well...thank you for your help, by the way.

[ He'll smile helplessly and just watch the red-head make some food. He is pretty excited for the other to do so. ]

Well, I am doing alright for now, and I did have another dream, yes. I met a comrade I hadn't seen in quite awhile, so it was a good dream of sorts. What about you? Is everything alright and all that?

[feistytrader]

[...Mikazuki's a little strange, but... He's pretty nice, isn't he? And he has a gentle smile.]

Yeah. There's no getting used to people dying, and I didn't wake up to the best memory, but I'm sure things will work out.

[He briefly puts a hand on the back of his head, but not for long; he wouldn't want to mess up any cooking, after all.]

There's nothing to do but keep moving forward, right?

[ It is a relief to hear that someone hasn't gotten accustomed to people dying here, even if he's accepted himself that people do eventually pass on. ]

That's right. Ah, but, if you ever do feel like you need to talk about anything, I will be one of those willing to listen.

[ He certainly won't press and is quite content to move on, though. Time waits for no one. ]

...Hmm, it is a little hard to believe we've been here for more than a few weeks, isn't it?

[feistytrader]

...Yeah. At this rate, we'll all be dead in two months.

[That wasn't particularly optimistic, but it's too late to take it back now.]

My, my, while I'd say our situation is quite dire, I wouldn't say it was that hopeless.

[ Although he understands why Silver would say that... ]

[feistytrader]

You're right. Maybe three months.

[...That's not any better. He briefly shakes his head.]

If you've got a positive spin on things, I'm all ears.

[ ... It really isn't, but their situation was bad enough that it could happen. ]

I understand it's tough to be optimistic, but I don't think I'd want to say we're doomed just yet. Although, I do have a overly positive scenario of how things might happen and since you want to listen, I'll say it.

Ahem, one day, soon, probably a few weeks from now, the Wordsmith will take a stroll down the hallway. Everyone still around then surprises him and gets him to cough up a key to the exit or the exit itself after defeating him soundly. We also making sure he can never do anything like this again. Then, we all skip out to freedom and everything is solved.

[ ... ]

...I suppose in the end, I don't quite really have anything, but. We have to keep trying, right?

[feistytrader]

[...You know, the likelihood of something like that happening is incredibly low, but for some reason it makes him feel better anyway.]

Right. It might not be easy, but I'd like to make it out of here with as many of you as possible.

[tsugomori]

Exactly.

[ He'll smile a little. ]

...Ah, that smells delicious by the way. I think I am quite fortunate to be in the presence of so many good cooks.

[feistytrader]

I'm not great at it, but a stove makes it a lot easier.

[Food's done! Silver quickly moves it to a plate and passes it over.]

There really are a lot of good cooks here, though. Everyone's so eager to share, too.

[Watanuki, Varric, Viktor...]

Oh, it does? I've never really used a "stove" all that much.

[ He'll take the plate gently. ]

Well, I'm quite glad for everyone's benevolence in their sharing. Unfortunately, as cooking is not an area that I am skilled in as of yet I will have to rely on everyone else for that for now.

[ Killia is teaching him, but Mikazuki is comedically inept at cooking, so it is an uphill battle... ]

[feistytrader]

...You can't cook? Really?

[But Mikazuki is... He's pretty old, isn't he?]

Not without help, no.

[ He'll smile a little helplessly. ]

I suppose everyone has things they are good and bad at, but I hope Killia's lessons will change that somewhat.

[feistytrader]

[...He's gonna learn from the demon guy. Didn't Gold say something about him making good curry?]

Aren't you more than a thousand years old? How do you survive for that long without learning how to cook?

[This is still baffling him, give him a minute-]

[ He'll nod, and he doesn't mind answering this at all. Although it surprisingly hasn't come up too much. ]

I am indeed quite old. But, you see, I spent most of the time in the simple form of a blade. It's only recently that I've obtained a human form. That is how I survived for so long...

[feistytrader]

...You can turn into a sword?

[He's not really sure what he expected, but that sure as hell wasn't it.]

Ha ha ha, well, it's more like my main form was just the blade originally. But now, I have a human form as well.

So, in essence, I have two bodies.
