WEEK 4 Three more have died this past week. Milla Maxwell was killed for breaking a rule, Chiyuki was murdered, and you all had a hand in executing Yoshikage Kira. It seems like this isn't going to stop any time soon. How many more will join them this week? Saturday is given to regrouping and rest; on Sunday morning the clock chimes as it always has, but at least there are no bodies to find today. It seems you're safe for now. The night before wasn't necessarily a peaceful one, however; you'll probably feel a bit groggy when you wake up, and it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost... Despite the Wordsmith's reaction to the last trial, it seems as though you've been rewarded once again for a job that was...well, it was done, even if he didn't explicitly say it was well-done. Another door has opened in that stairway, it seems, leading you further down into the building; once again, there are more rooms down there, more things to occupy yourselves with. Or perhaps just more means to get creative with regards to how you take initiative with your fellow Apprentices. APPRENTICES REMAINING: 23 APPRENTICES REMAINING: 22 APPRENTICES REMAINING: 20

Even so, aren't there better outfits suited for the desert heat? With that kind of outfit, I would worry about sunburn...

Well, the Dark Mages are almost all members of the Grimleal, so I wouldn't be surprised. I'm genuinely shocked that this isn't purple and covered in weird eye patterns.

So in other words, they do have an odd fashion sense.

Perhaps they have a reason to show off their bodies...

As far as I'm aware it doesn't help in casting dark magic. However, the only classes capable of using dark magic are ones that wear outfits like this, so...

[...maybe you have to be half-nude in order to use dark magic?????? aversa has a unique skill that lets her use it, but she's also half-nude, so.]

So maybe they need the feeling of air against their skin to cast magic?

[She has to use a magic stone to cast spells, so it's plausible?]

I suppose it's possible? Most Mages don't require that, though. I'm not sure what would cause Dark Mages to need that.

No idea. I've never used Dark Magic, so I wouldn't know.

I only use holy or light magic myself. This is an intriguing topic to think about.

[Rita can use dark based arts and she's covered! Even if she has no fashion sense.]

We have healing magic, but that's the closest we have to "light magic". What sort of spells do you use?

[firstaid]

I can use healing magic as well. As for light magic, they're spells of the light element that usually are strong against dark elemental spells.

It would make sense to have a counter to Dark Magic, but if there's anything of the sort where I'm from, it isn't common knowledge.

[At least in Plegia? But then again, Plegians are repeatedly the Bad Guys so what do you expect here.]
