WEEK 4.
Three more have died this past week. Milla Maxwell was killed for breaking a rule, Chiyuki was murdered, and you all had a hand in executing Yoshikage Kira. It seems like this isn't going to stop any time soon. How many more will join them this week? Saturday is given to regrouping and rest; on Sunday morning the clock chimes as it always has, but at least there are no bodies to find today. It seems you're safe for now. The night before wasn't necessarily a peaceful one, however; you'll probably feel a bit groggy when you wake up, and it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost... Despite the Wordsmith's reaction to the last trial, it seems as though you've been rewarded once again for a job that was...well, it was done, even if he didn't explicitly say it was well-done. Another door has opened in that stairway, it seems, leading you further down into the building; once again, there are more rooms down there, more things to occupy yourselves with. Or perhaps just more means to get creative with regards to how you take initiative with your fellow Apprentices. APPRENTICES REMAINING: 20 |

[OOC: Welcome to week four of Trustfell! Feel free to make as many top levels as you'd like and tag out to other characters! This post is for all of your interactions this week... at least until the weekend. Don't forget to save those threads for coins and the activity check!
If you'd like to get in contact with the Wordsmith, you can do so through letters or the switchboard!]

[MIKAZUKI...]
I absolutely understand, though! I can't let my skills get rusty or I'll be in serious trouble! If those memory dreams are right... Well, the point is that I need to be in peak condition when I return home!
no subject
Oh, is it because of the Grim-eels? Or is it someone else that you need to be prepared for?
no subject
[But nope, instead he's got a lot of memories he still has to put together. Ughhhh, work.]
I was preparing for battle in one of the memories and in another the Prince of Ylisse was damned determined to kill me for kidnapping his sister.
[...and also getting ready to execute her but shhh.]
no subject
[ He'll tap his chin in thought for a bit; it really was a bit unfortunate. ]
Whatever the case, kidnapping his sister mustn't have been an easy feat.
[ Discussing kidnapping like this is very ironic... considering their circumstances... ]
no subject
[because it's hilarious tbh]
As for his sister... well, they made the stupid mistake of leaving Ylisstol, the capital, unguarded. So Aversa and I barged in with our army, took over and waited for the Exalt to come marching into our hands! We would have stayed there if it had been safe, but I'd rather fight the princeling on my own soil.
[Homefield advantage and all of that. Gangrel also sees absolutely nothing ironic about this because somehow that hasn't sunk in yet. He's doing great.]
no subject
[ His voice is light in a sense that it can be gleamed that he is joking a little...but then he'll shake his head. ]
... Well, that joke aside, why would they do leave their capitol so vulnerable? Did their forces decide to take a vacation?
[ He considered bringing up the irony (for now), but he probably got distracted by hearing "bad strategic decisions". ]
no subject
No, not exactly. They prioritized the safety of their leader first and foremost by trying to move her away from the place we were most likely to hit. In theory it would have worked, but their leader is the most disgusting, saintly woman I've ever had the misfortune of meeting. She was damned determined to return to the capital to give her people hope or something. Either way, she walked right into our open arms and figuratively landed herself right on the executioner's block. Though it was really a peak that we were going to force her off, but that's not important!
[oh my god]
no subject
I don't think I really understand why she was thinking that would help from a battle strategy standpoint. Then again, there are a lot of things people do things that can be quite confusing.
[ If anything, battle is the one thing he's good at, besides like killing people, so he can offer some criticism whenever. ]
That "non-important" detail sounds quite terrible, you know.
no subject
[And there's a moment there where his words sound nearly angry and bitter as opposed to mocking and sarcastic, but he shrugs and whatever emotion was there is gone in an instant.]
Of course it's terrible! I'm not about to claim I'm doing everything for the good of Plegia and I'm in the right - I'm a horrible person and I'm proud of it! I wouldn't be the "Mad King of Plegia" otherwise!
[...because sometimes you've just gotta make a name for yourself, i guess???]
no subject
[ Maybe he's too easygoing sometimes, but it does help keep down stress levels. ]
I am also not surprised you earned a name for yourself. Although, I have to say that title sounds somehow a bit more graceful than "Demon of Owari".
[ Actually they sound probably equally terrible but what does he know... ]
no subject
[honestly, these people are an insult to villains!!!]
"Demon of Owari" isn't a terrible title, though. Certainly doesn't have quite the same ring as "Mad King Gangrel" but there isn't much that can possibly come close!
[it's a stupid title and it's not even unique!!! shut up, gangrel.]
no subject
If there is one that ever does, I will let you know.
But, I am quite curious now, when was it exactly you began to hold such a title? I imagine it was after another time of victorious triumph?
no subject
[hahaha get it]
I've been working very hard to make a name for myself - preferably one that will have the Ylisseans shaking in their boots! It's been a bit less successful than I had hoped, however, since they were apparently fine with letting my men cross their borders and set their towns ablaze.
[i am so sorry]
no subject
Now, normally I wouldn't easily believe that anyone would be fine with letting anyone's army doing something so terrible to their own people, but judging by the way they may have behaved, anything could be possible. You could even say they wore underwear on their head and I may believe it.
[ Mikazuki pls. ]
no subject
[he's got to play on hard mode okay!!!]
no subject
[ ...Although-- ]
And while we're talking about conflict and battle, I think I would like to spar with you sometime. You seem like you would be quite a fun opponent.
no subject
[preferably not in the middle of the night on a thursday though!!!]
no subject
[ ... Luckily, Mikazuki isn't unreasonable, but he had smiled at the mention of the other man too. At the very least they're all keeping in shape. ]
no subject
I suppose I could let you borrow the other sword I got out of the vending machine. It's wooden though, so I don't know how well it'll stand up against this one.
no subject
Ah, really? Gangrel, I would love to try it out and see how it goes.
Also, I would be eternally grateful for it, so thank you in advance~
no subject
[STOP EMBARRASSING HIM OH MY GOD]
...I'll bring it by later and we can spar then, sound fair?
no subject
[ He can't help but tease a little. ]
But yes, that sounds fair. I'll see you then.
[ He'll wave and then head off with a grin. ]
