WEEK 4 Three more have died this past week. Milla Maxwell was killed for breaking a rule, Chiyuki was murdered, and you all had a hand in executing Yoshikage Kira. It seems like this isn't going to stop any time soon. How many more will join them this week? Saturday is given to regrouping and rest; on Sunday morning the clock chimes as it always has, but at least there are no bodies to find today. It seems you're safe for now. The night before wasn't necessarily a peaceful one, however; you'll probably feel a bit groggy when you wake up, and it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost... Despite the Wordsmith's reaction to the last trial, it seems as though you've been rewarded once again for a job that was...well, it was done, even if he didn't explicitly say it was well-done. Another door has opened in that stairway, it seems, leading you further down into the building; once again, there are more rooms down there, more things to occupy yourselves with. Or perhaps just more means to get creative with regards to how you take initiative with your fellow Apprentices. APPRENTICES REMAINING: 23 APPRENTICES REMAINING: 22 APPRENTICES REMAINING: 20

I mean... yeah, those don't sound like the worst thing in the world. At least, as long as you avoid quicksand, but that never actually ended up being as much of a problem as I thought it was gonna be in real life.

Quicksand....?

Fortunately, I don't think there's anything like that here.

Besides, so long as it wasn't here, I could just turn myself into a ball of energy and escape.

Yeah, it's some weird mix of sand and water that's supposed to be really hard to get out of. Since we're indoors I doubt it's gonna be an issue.

But anyway. Dang. That's cool as heck, but it sucks you can't do it here. If you could, I guess you could find a way in and punch the heck out of that Wordsmith jerk.

With our luck, he might try and make a room filled with quicksand, now.

So far, the rooms have seemed randomly assorted. I wonder how long it took him to change the appearance of the rooms in this place.

Oh snap. Well, I guess I could try and pull you out or something.

...and yeah. Do you think this is all new, or if he had something before and just retooled it into a murder hellhole?

....I don't know.

Did anything look like it had been used before? We've been here for weeks; I'm sure there must be some sign of wear. Scratches on some of those cooking cylinders, maybe.

[....she means the pots.]

...uh. Yeah, I didn't... see anything like that? I guess it's something to look for, I guess.

That seems very unusual, doesn't it.

...I should probably look into that, huh.

Yes. I'll look around too. There must be some sign that this facility has been used before.

How else could the Wordsmith call this a "university"?

He could be pulling it out of his ass. I mean, there is that.

That's possible.

But I don't know.... It makes me wonder if this building has some sot of importance for him. I doubt he would admit as much, if it was true, though.

Yeah, probably. Maybe he's one of those nerdlords who actually liked school.

He doesn't seem to be teaching much. Besides how people should best kill each other.
