Trustfell 4: Trust Fall or Die Hard ([personal profile] trustwellness) wrote in [community profile] trusthell2017-02-12 11:44 am

WEEK 4.

WEEK 4

Three more have died this past week. Milla Maxwell was killed for breaking a rule, Chiyuki was murdered, and you all had a hand in executing Yoshikage Kira.

It seems like this isn't going to stop any time soon. How many more will join them this week?

Saturday is given to regrouping and rest; on Sunday morning the clock chimes as it always has, but at least there are no bodies to find today. It seems you're safe for now. The night before wasn't necessarily a peaceful one, however; you'll probably feel a bit groggy when you wake up, and it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost...

Despite the Wordsmith's reaction to the last trial, it seems as though you've been rewarded once again for a job that was...well, it was done, even if he didn't explicitly say it was well-done. Another door has opened in that stairway, it seems, leading you further down into the building; once again, there are more rooms down there, more things to occupy yourselves with.

Or perhaps just more means to get creative with regards to how you take initiative with your fellow Apprentices.

[Oh, it's Watanuki!

... And... the Eevee-Arbok thing? It's more like an Eevee-Ekans thing. What'd he call it? Kuda something?]

This is Aibo! [hi!!] He's not just a Pokémon and my partner, he's also my family! Just like Polibo, but this one's been with me as far back as I can remember.

[and he has two tailhands both of which he is using to wave]

That your uh... the thing you were talkin' about last week? Kuda-something? The Eevee thing.
foundfate: (huh?)

[personal profile] foundfate 2017-02-14 11:59 pm (UTC)(link)
Kudakitsune, yes. But his name is Mugetsu.

[Mugetsu is also absolutely delighted to see Gold, because he has a pokemon and he's friendly with the pokemon so that totally makes him a good person. Mugetsu chirps happily at Gold, but will ultimately go to see what Aibo is up to.]
uncouthhatcher: (not like you can do much kiddo)

[personal profile] uncouthhatcher 2017-02-15 07:14 am (UTC)(link)
[Mugetsu no, he's got a tough guy look to maintain-- oh okay you're hanging with Aibo, that's fine, Aibo'll get to know pipefox hello.]

He's a lot cuter than I thought he'd be, honestly, especially with how you were describin' him. Is he gonna get any bigger than this?
foundfate: (thinking)

[personal profile] foundfate 2017-02-15 12:27 pm (UTC)(link)
He can, he has another form that looks more like you would expect a fox to look. With legs and nine tails and stuff. But there's no way to change him back to this form here, so it wouldn't make sense for him to change. He would be way too big in a small space.
uncouthhatcher: (you bet your diddly-darnest)

[personal profile] uncouthhatcher 2017-02-15 03:20 pm (UTC)(link)
[the sad part is the nine tails is how he'd expect a fox to look and nick is a disappointment]

So he gets pretty huge, huh. Ninetales is only about the size of Polibo on average, which ain't that big I guess, but those tails are long on it. And cursed.
foundfate: (thinking)

[personal profile] foundfate 2017-02-15 09:59 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah, he gets huge. But why would his tails be cursed?
uncouthhatcher: (don't worry dude got it covered)

[personal profile] uncouthhatcher 2017-02-16 02:33 am (UTC)(link)
Superstition, that's all! If you grab one of its tails then it puts a thousand year curse on you, but there's also all kind of stories about Ninetales. One I remember hearin' about growin' up was how each of the tails had its own special power, and it lives a thousand years itself because of how mystical it was.

[... So, you know, basic legend stuff. It's just a story.]

'Course, Ninetales only curses people that mistreat it, so as long as you're careful and it trusts you, you're free to pet it all you want! Brushin' their tails is part of the groomin' routine.
foundfate: (thinking)

[Watanuki listens to Gold's explanation, and he considers it. Then he looks down at Mugetsu.]

Are you a thousand years old?

[To which Mugetsu nods. Old spirit is old.

Watanuki looks back up at Gold.
]

Maybe the Ninetails in your world is pretty close to a kudakitsune in mine? I bet there's other spirits like that too, which are like pokemon.
uncouthhatcher: (yeah yeah just shut up and enjoy the sca)

[personal profile] uncouthhatcher 2017-02-17 05:36 am (UTC)(link)
It'd be interestin' to meet them all! And for you to meet what I'm talkin' about too, I think they'd take a real shine to you.

[The Ghost-types especially, but he doesn't know that. Ninetales and Ghost-types.]

Hell, I could get my hands on an Egg for you if you want! Then it'll be super awesome when it hatches, 'cause that's my specialty.
foundfate: (thinking)

[personal profile] foundfate 2017-02-17 05:38 am (UTC)(link)
Your specialty is hatching eggs?

[Given that the two pokemon losers are going to probably bother Watanuki forever (or at least until they die), Watanuki has resigned himself to the fact that he will probably get dragged to their world at some point. Provided they all survive this 'game', that is. So getting a head-start on learning pokemon isn't a bad idea.]
uncouthhatcher: (heckie to the yeah)

[personal profile] uncouthhatcher 2017-02-17 05:43 am (UTC)(link)
You bet! Every single one of 'em turns out to be stronger than your average Pokémon too, or so I've noticed.

[... They probably have like, mechanically speaking, one perfect IV in the priority stat attributed to their nature. So a Naughty nature's perfect IV is in their Attack.]

It's why I'm called the Hatcher back home! Silver's the Trader 'cause his specialty is tradin'. There's not a single thing that guy doesn't know about it!
foundfate: (well this is a problem)

[personal profile] foundfate 2017-02-17 12:34 pm (UTC)(link)
That is actually pretty amazing. And you two do those things for your jobs?

[He still doesn't quite get the whole pokemon world, but he's trying.]
uncouthhatcher: (well i mean it was nothin so)

[personal profile] uncouthhatcher 2017-02-17 03:05 pm (UTC)(link)
Ehhh, they're less jobs and more like area of expertise, but it is pretty handy for when I'm helpin' out at the Daycare south of Goldenrod. We are worthy of havin' Pokédex 'cause of them though.

[it isn't like he had a breakdown when he was eleven over not having his own title or anything. totally. so not important.]

Most people don't get to even see a Pokédex in their lifetime! That's how big we are at home.
foundfate: (...eh?)

[personal profile] foundfate 2017-02-18 04:15 pm (UTC)(link)
[You lying liar who lies.]

You mean that computer-thing that tells you about pokemon? Why? I mean, everyone should have one, it seems really useful.
uncouthhatcher: (you bet your diddly-darnest)

[personal profile] uncouthhatcher 2017-02-18 10:15 pm (UTC)(link)
[Now I am also a lying liar that lies.]

Totally is! But the Professor makes 'em himself, and they're expensive to get made, so it's only for the people he thinks worth it.
