Trustfell 4: Trust Fall or Die Hard ([personal profile] trustwellness) wrote in [community profile] trusthell2017-02-12 11:44 am

WEEK 4.

WEEK 4

Three more have died this past week. Milla Maxwell was killed for breaking a rule, Chiyuki was murdered, and you all had a hand in executing Yoshikage Kira.

It seems like this isn't going to stop any time soon. How many more will join them this week?

Saturday is given to regrouping and rest; on Sunday morning the clock chimes as it always has, but at least there are no bodies to find today. It seems you're safe for now. The night before wasn't necessarily a peaceful one, however; you'll probably feel a bit groggy when you wake up, and it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost...

Despite the Wordsmith's reaction to the last trial, it seems as though you've been rewarded once again for a job that was...well, it was done, even if he didn't explicitly say it was well-done. Another door has opened in that stairway, it seems, leading you further down into the building; once again, there are more rooms down there, more things to occupy yourselves with.

Or perhaps just more means to get creative with regards to how you take initiative with your fellow Apprentices.

[ Viktor isn't planning on spending a lot of time in the library today, but he does stop by to find a book or two to read in his room on nights he's having a hard time sleeping - which is far too often these days because being stuck murderschool isn't really conducive to a good night's sleep. When he spots Estelle, he decides to approach. ]

What are you reading?

[When Viktor asks her that question, she gives him a smile while holding up the book she seems to have gotten started.]

It's called 'Elegance and the Monster', and so far the premise seems intriguing.

[As soon as she says that, back to the book she goes. It's not that she's ignoring anyone, it's just books have this power take her attention away from anything but it!]

What's it about? The title makes it sound like a knockoff of 'Beauty and the Beast'.

It could be. It's about an elegant woman in a town who enjoys reading and her father is a scientist. However, while he's on to a fair to show off his invention, he gets lost and finds a manor belonging to a monster. I've just gotten to the part where the daughter has gone to the manor to find her father.

Definitely a knockoff, then. I'm more familiar with the movie version, but it's a nice story.

How did this movie version go?

A young prince is turned into a beast by an enchantress, and she turns everyone else in the castle into living furniture. The Beast is given a rose and in order to break the spell, he must learn to love another person and earn her love in return before the rose's last petal falls.

About ten years later Belle, who's a bookworm like in your book, goes to the Beast's castle after her father goes missing. She offers to take her father's place as his prisoner, and the beast accepts.

[ ... ]

I've forgotten the details, but she befriends a talking clock and a candlestick, and she begins to grow close to the Beast. But there's a man in the village she's from, Gaston, who is determined to marry her. After he finds out that Belle is in love with the Beast, Gaston convinces the villagers that the Beast must be killed and leads them to the castle.

Gaston is killed in his fight with the Beast, and Belle confesses her love to him. The spell is broken, the Beast reverts to his human form and they live happily ever after.

Oh yes, it seems that did happen to the prince. He turned into a monster as did his servants. Rather they turned into objects. I also recall there is a man who wishes to marry her, but she keeps refusing him.

[An index finger taps her bottom lip.]

I do wonder if it will end the same? I hope they get a happy ending like in this book. A shame the other man had to die, however, given he's a villain, it's how they usually end up getting written in literature.

Is the man obnoxious and narcissistic? Gaston's an entertaining character because of how overblown his ego is... though as the movie goes on he becomes less entertaining and more terrifying when he goes from annoying suitor to a villain who leads a lynch mob to kill the Beast.
