WEEK 4.

WEEK 4 Three more have died this past week. Milla Maxwell was killed for breaking a rule, Chiyuki was murdered, and you all had a hand in executing Yoshikage Kira. It seems like this isn't going to stop any time soon. How many more will join them this week? Saturday is given to regrouping and rest; on Sunday morning the clock chimes as it always has, but at least there are no bodies to find today. It seems you're safe for now. The night before wasn't necessarily a peaceful one, however; you'll probably feel a bit groggy when you wake up, and it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost... Despite the Wordsmith's reaction to the last trial, it seems as though you've been rewarded once again for a job that was...well, it was done, even if he didn't explicitly say it was well-done. Another door has opened in that stairway, it seems, leading you further down into the building; once again, there are more rooms down there, more things to occupy yourselves with. [Two more dead and...it's Thursday, Hanyuu's least favorite day. (Funny, it used to be Sunday, a specific Sunday, at the end of June-- no it still is.)

Hanyuu's doing...okay? Alright, comparatively okay. She's not completely awful, she's just so tired. So very tired and it shows all over her face. She has an arranged meeting with Elda tonight, for one of those games which will hopefully get her mind off everything, but for now... Well, she gets up late and idles around the dojo, quietly wishing she had something to practice with, but she won't stay there long. No, she heads to the pool, to actually swim, though it mostly looks like she's meditating again.

Alani's prayers were supposed to be done in water, right?

After, hair damp, she goes to the vending machine to cash in a few more coins. She gets a nice haul, taking note at first of the...strange tank-top, oh. Would it suit her? ...Doesn't she know this logo, it's-]

...Oh...!

[She gets distracted. Hanyuu...recognizes the deck of cards that comes out of the vending machine. It's old, it's beaten, most of the cards are scuffed and folded and she holds it lovingly, running a finger down one of the fold-marks of a card.

She'll get her things to her room and then... Then she'll stop in the foyer to talk with the shadowfriend, with a piece of paper with YES and NO written on it. Seems that's a good way to get at least a conversation in, so...

She sits, a little ways away from the crack in the wall, paper in front of her.]

Hello? May...may we talk?

[For a while, it doesn't seem as though it's going to answer; there's just that constant steady stream of black silt pouring down the wall and dissipating into the floor.

Eventually, however, one of those dark tendrils will split off and spread out a bit in the direction of the sheets of paper she's got in front of her.

Oh, yeah, we're a gang. We mostly just cause trouble and shake things up in boring, peaceful Alola, but we have our own town and everything, so we're definitely gonna go big time someday.

[Lusamine's gonna be coming into the pool to relax a bit--being around some kind of water again is something that helps matters a lot. Even so, she pauses a bit when she sees someone else inside...

...Well, she'll just change first and then go swim in to join Hanyuu. It certainly looks like she's concentrating hard...

It's alright, the prayer was...complete, I was just reflecting on it. Not many of the writings Alani left are things others can do, not unless I grow gills and learn to glow.
