WEEK 4 Three more have died this past week. Milla Maxwell was killed for breaking a rule, Chiyuki was murdered, and you all had a hand in executing Yoshikage Kira. It seems like this isn't going to stop any time soon. How many more will join them this week? Saturday is given to regrouping and rest; on Sunday morning the clock chimes as it always has, but at least there are no bodies to find today. It seems you're safe for now. The night before wasn't necessarily a peaceful one, however; you'll probably feel a bit groggy when you wake up, and it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost... Despite the Wordsmith's reaction to the last trial, it seems as though you've been rewarded once again for a job that was...well, it was done, even if he didn't explicitly say it was well-done. Another door has opened in that stairway, it seems, leading you further down into the building; once again, there are more rooms down there, more things to occupy yourselves with. Well, Zero claimed she does, but she's still alive in 2074 so that can't be right.

[Not to mention the entire reason she got back from then.]

Couldn't she just be alive in the future in one of those timelines where everything works out better but dead in another one? Or doesn't it work like that?

Impossible. The 2074 I saw has to follow from the timeline where I escaped.

Couldn't you escape in some other one?

Theoretically, but everything else matches up. Sigma loses both his arms and his right eye, the public is exposed to the virus... I could practically hear Diana claiming she was soon going to have killed six billion people, like on that memory card.

[And the number of clear unambiguous choices doesn't seem to brook many alternative options.]

So... what, she wasn't in the C group in the first place, they didn't actually die, or she escaped?

Any of those things could be true, because I didn't see her in that memory.

[Or in the execution vote, but she knows Carlos' handwriting well enough to tell that wasn't forged then.]

Either way, there's a contradiction between Zero's words and the facts.

Isn't he the kidnapper? He'd be the most likely the lie, right?

Starting with the assumption that he's lying with no basis in fact would be irrational.

At the end of the execution voting period, he claimed that one of the teams would definitely be executed... but like his first message, it was a recording. It wasn't necessarily true.

So he didn't talk with you guys directly, just recorded stuff? huh.

At least the first time he did. No reason to believe the other times weren't different.

[He even said it was a recording the first time! The shock value must have just. Thrown them off.]
