WEEK 6 With the deaths of Viktor Nikiforov, Varric Tethras, and Killia, you're down to half of your original number. There's only fifteen of you left. How much longer before your number drops again? Saturday is given to regrouping and rest; on Sunday morning the clock chimes as it always has, but at least there are no bodies to find today. It seems you're safe for now. The night before wasn't necessarily a peaceful one, however; you'll probably feel a bit groggy when you wake up, and it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost... Of course, that doesn't mean that you've gained nothing else among the many, many losses you've faced; it seems that another floor has been made available to you for surviving another week. [ She nods, and she places it over her head. She knows it doesn't suit her the way it did Fang, but she'll keep it safe. ]

Yeah... It's like I've got a little piece of her with me. Almost like... she's watching over me, somehow.

[ Vanille's going to the rooms she's not really been to, and she figures it'd be good to start at the music room. There are so many instruments, it's amazing! Vanille's admiring them when--

Oh. Um. Vanille pales a little when she sees Elda, and while she wants to turn and leave, uh... maybe that'd make things worse? So she pretends like she's examining one of the drums very carefully. Totally natural. ]

[ Like Silver, this is pretty much Vanille's second home. She's tending to the plants, making sure they're nicely watered, and she's got a basket of fruits and veggies she carries around with her while she takes care of the plant friends.

She looks up after a while--when did he come in? They've not really spoken, but he and Gold... Vanille bites down on those feelings (she misses him, and she still feels bad for... well, not returning his affections) and pushes them away. Instead, she raises a hand in a wave. ]

Maybe you could use one of those collections of stories. Some of them have to be big and heavy enough.

Maybe it's possible to travel to all the different worlds. I want to be able to see them all!

...More or less, actually. Though the shield doesn't tell you where the gems are. At least, I don't think it can do that.

I'd enjoy that as well! I'd like to see the world Kimbley crawled out of, or where Mikazuki's from... And Killia's world! From the sound of it, I'd fit right in!

[Sure, he's a king and he's got an obligation to his people, but worldhopping sounds fun.]

Honestly, that seems like a right hassle to have to go on a big treasure hunt on top of just getting the thing.

[ She's significantly more timid as she goes over to the piano, standing there... a little awkwardly, honestly. ]

[ For a while Elda is just looking at the piano.

And then finally, she turns to look at her and- ]

Maybe that would be nice.

[She's quiet for a long moment.]

Do you think it's possible... since the others are still around, even if we can't see them, that they can be brought back?

Well, I didn't know it would be missing the jewels. Sure, I heard that legend and all, but it's not like I've ever put much faith in legends.

Come on, surely you don't think anything's going to happen to me! I'm the King of Plegia! I've survived more assassination attempts than any other king in Plegia's long and bloody history!

You would have taken in more lessons if you had done that. Such a shame...

I wouldn't mind being able to see Kimbley's world, to really see his alchemy in person! ...If we could bring them back...!

[He absolutely understands and for a moment his expression is still just as pleased as he considers...

And then it falls a bit, because Kimbley's dead. Kimbley's dead and there isn't any raising the dead. Not even Plegia's Dark Mages and Sorcerers have come up with a way to do that. Risen are something, but they're certainly not bringing the dead back to life properly.

He's quiet for a moment before he tries to shake it off and return to the same level of enthusiasm.]

It really would be incredible, wouldn't it? Travelling to see all of these different, fantastic places... It really is a wonderful thought!

[ Now it's her turn to be quiet. ]

I think it's possible, yep. It'd be difficult to bring 'em back, and nearly impossible... But pretty much everyone here is stubborn and determined. I'm sure we could manage it.
